For some reason this piece of dialogue comes to mind upon reading your statement:
Dr. Henry Wu: What are you doing?! This animal is not for sale!
Eli Mills: If you want to create an addict, you have to give them a taste.
Dr. Henry Wu: He's a prototype!

And regarding the carnivores:
"You asked for more teeth."
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Navigating on facebook I found pictures on everythingdinosaur where I have seen that Papo's gorgosaurus is not as small as I imagined, I send facebook links to all forum members. It looks amazingly good, I would put 8 out of ten,

It is a remarkable but not outstanding figure as its Papo spinosaurus and the size is almost as large as the allosaurus.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Hmm about as long as the Allosauurs then.  That shot though isn't doing it many favors, the tail looks stubby or the head too big..not sure which there..

Silvanusaurus

Is it just me or does the Gorgosaurus look like it might be suffering from some kind of growth defect? I like it. I can imagine it waddling along with a trumpeting theme tune that crescendos each time it stumbles over.

I walked like that when I had piles.

Guess I will be passing on the Gorgosaurus after all. I just can't get over the pose, even if I don't have an issue with the rest of it.

Honestly, Papo's pentaceratops and Papo 2019's spinosaurus are much better, and this figure is the best of all the group of new Papo models, except for the old repainted models.

Although I am eternally grateful that Papo made a tyrannosauroid other than tyrannosaurus rex.

That Allosaurus repaint is quite an handsome devil, long overdue and a brilliant move to relaunch a sculpt that was really degrading in recent years, because of the bad paint app. I'm going to stick to my original as explained in other posts, but kudos to Papo nonetheless.

As for the Gorgosaurus, size seems exactly like the Ceratosaurus, so not a big figure at all. To me the tail looks too short and thin, while the head blatantly oversized. Very odd proportions overall. Might just be the side view, cause promo shots didn't give such impression, but sadly it seems Papo's worst theropod in a while. That won't stop me from getting one for the collection though.

But I think I can forgive anything to Papo this year (too many repaints, no Giganotosaurus, a so and so Gorgosaurus) considering we're going to get two outstanding figures like the Pentaceratops and the Spinosaurus aegyptiacus from them!

Hi guys! I couldn't wait for the new Spinosaurus to arrive so I started searching the web for some new information and images.

Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon an photo of a definitely greener Pteranodon. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't seen Papo release a repaint of this figure in recent years.

Pteranodon can be purchased from this French retailer: https://m.laredoute.fr/ppdp/prod-500487301?docid=00000000000001#srt=noSorting&searchkeyword=squelette-dinosaure-jouet.

What if the actual animal preferred to pose like that 90% of its day....?

I think it is the angle. Because, I clearly remember a live video with ED demonstrating the Gorgosaurus in action...and it looked better.

I completely agree, it is a handsome repaint, and frankly, it has a lot more contrast to the colors than the original one in my opinion.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Shonisaurus

That bluish color with spots of Papa allosaurus repainted favors him a lot.

It's beautiful. How much will this beauty of spinosaurus cost us to those who have commissioned it? It looks magnificent. Thanks for the photography Miron. This spinosaurus looks magnificent. For me it exceeds the rest of the dinosaur brands by far.

Mironimus

I don't know how much this Spinosaurus figure will cost, because I don't have this information by now.
As soon as I have the price I will add it to the item.

But if I compare the dimensions of the old Spinosaurus (approx. 40 cm long) and the limited edition Spinosaurus (also approx. 40 cm long), the limited one shouldn't be much more expensive than the old one.
Hopefully.

I still can't get over that eel tail. Yeah, I get that crocodile scutes and scales aren't much better, but nevertheless.

I was expecting a high price for this "Limited edition" figure, but this is ridiculous:

I'm shure the price is yet to be announced, but it's still funny  ;D  ... unless it's true  :o

Blade-of-the-Moon

Much better picture.   Yeah I can deal with osteoderms, but I have an Xacto that will fix that tail.. ;)

I find a little ironic that if you chopped off that tail tip you could place it in his mouth and look like he just caught dinner..
