Hello!!

This is my 1/35 Kentrosaurus custom figure, made over a cheap chinasaur stegosaurus. Please browse to the final images to see comparison with original toy. It was modified with epoxy putty to make it as anatomically correct as I could, spikes were made 30% larger than fossils because of the keartin cover, I re-sculpted tail, neck, head, plates, spikes and I also made it a sewer.

Kentsosaurus was 4.5 meters long (14.7 feet), this figure is 5 inches long in 1/35

Original paint scheme by me. I hope you like it.

BlueKrono

Your paint job is spectacular! The figure's not bad for a cheap Chinasaur either.
We are accustomed to look upon the shackled form of a conquered monster, but there - there you could look at a thing monstrous and free." - King Kong, 2005

Awesome custom job - from the paint to the resculpt.  Brilliant.

'Also glad to find someone else who thinks there should be bigger, rougher looking scales surrounding the plates and spikes.

Shonisaurus

This kentrosaurus with these shiny and metallic paintings resculpted and repainted from the stegosaurus is spectacular, the initial stegosaurus is in the place of shame next to your great work.

Fenestra

Oh wow! I'm hypnotized by the colours!  :o
It's a psychedelic experience! I love it!

Killekor

Wow... I'm almost speechless... that is just an exceptional, excellent and spectacular work of pure art! It looks almost alive! Congratulations for this beautiful sculpture!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Yes, I´ve always thought that all stegosauria should have bigger scales and rougher scales where the plates and spikes are born, nice catch there.

Hey thank you very much for your words!!, it´s a small figure but it was a challenge, 12 hours just for painting it plus the sculpting time, I really enjoyed my time with this little fella, it was a new experience and a break from my other projects. I´m glad you liked it.

"New pajamas", hehe  ;D, thanks.

Absolutely fantastic work. Much respect for the level of detail at the scale given.
Very pleasing paint-scheme as well. Looks beautiful!

Amazing mod! It looks like a high-end figure and the colours are very believable. I wouldn't have believed that this came from a generic off-brand toy had I not seen the pictures.

Great customization! The paint job is amazing as well! I must say though that the blue colours don't look too much realistic  :'(, but anyway you have turned a cheap chinasaurus into a masterpiece! Congrats

Shark Toothed Lizard

Beautiful! Looks like it came from an actual model company! And the paint scheme is gorgeous as well!

Your absolutely right, this little fella was a very fun little project, I enjoyed all stages, I'm glad people in this forum does understand that spending 16 -18 hours on a seat making something like this can give you a lot of fun, and I am VERY happy with the final figure.

Thank you so much!! I know that the blue colours give a lot of contrast and feel like an unrealistic touch, but I totally loved the final contrast and color design, I'm very happy with how it turned out and I wouldn't change the blue colours if I could choose.
