Also, my Dilophosaurus seems to have a lot more QC issues than the Velociraptor I have. Paint where it's not supposed to be, and the lower jaw doesn't seem to be attached right. Anybody else have issues with there's?

I've seen a number of reports on horrid QC on the AC Dilophosaurus as well, especially the jaw joint.
Was really looking forward to this figure, but the seemingly rampant QC issues makes me hesitant to jump the gun and pre-ordering the figure.

So Amazon (US) just got the Savage Strike Echo and Stygimoloch and sold out on both in like a minute or two. If I had to guess maybe the Scutosaurus, Postosuchus, and Styracosaurus (the rest of the case) will show up there as well. This is at least a good sign, as the US has been backed up on the last Dino Rivals case for far too long, and very few US retailers even got the case with Charlie and the Sauropelta.

Here at the links to keep an eye on though:

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp aha, you are a Spaniard!

Thanks for sharing, so for now I guess the Scutosaurus is still only showing up overseas (to those of us in North America). Hope that might change sometime soon. Same goes for that darn Postosuchus.

Made it out to Toys R Us for the first time since early March. Came across the Mussaurus repaint, the malformed baby Ankylosaurus, and Carno "Toro" us, but that was it as far as new items went. Was hoping to come across the Majungasaurus. Silly me.

Just a reminder to anyone that missed it the first time, the SDCC Nedry is going for up for sale again tomorrow the 23rd at 9am PST/12pm EST. It is going for sale on the Mattel Creations Instagram page.

Be sure to check out the buying guide they made as well.

Also I thought this might be interesting for folks to see regarding the development of it:

Edit: Btw I forgot to mention earlier but be sure to add your payment and address info ahead of time. It should hopefully make this easier to get.

They don't seem to have any information in terms of international shipping. Hopefully this isn't a US exclusive thing.
I wonder what the shipping rates will be as well.

I did see someone ask if they ship to the UK, they said they do. So hopefully that means they'll be doing international shipping.

Hoping Nedry isn't all sold out by the time I get home from the field today  >:( But he probably will be.

I have a job to do, a crew to supervise, and it annoys me to think of how there will be so many people with nothing better to do today just sitting at their computers pounding on "refresh" on Mattel's Instagram once the figure becomes available.

Altogether, I have more important things to focus on today.

Just a reminder it is going up in less then 45 minutes from now.

Edit: It sold out in like 2-3 minutes in the time of going up, which is even more absurd then last time. I don't think the 2 limit per customer ended up helping folks either with how limited this was. No doubt scalpers got through again, leaving many legit collector's out. So many people are upset because of the multiple captchas slowing everyone down, etc. I managed to successfully get one for my friend in Guatemala (I helped him get Hammond last year too) before they sold out. Just read the comments of the instagram page for it:

I hope you managed to get one avatar_Loon @Loon, and anyone here that wanted one, assuming you didn't miss out the last time it was up on EE.

Mattel severely underestimating customer demand, again, where have I seen this before...  ::)

Can't say I'm surprised at this point. Hopefully they'll decide to release Nedry later down the line in regular packaging.

Loon

I luckily got one, and am very happy. But, I gotta agree with avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy , this was definitely not the best handled affair. Though, from what I've heard of people's experiences with Mattel's last collector site, it could have gone far, far worse.

Hopefully Nedry pulls a Hammond and becomes available again later.

Faelrin

I am relieved to hear you got one at least, but what a tragic shame for so many others. I really feel for them as despite my luck (er twice now despite the one I got today going to my friend in Guatemala), it could have easily happened to me.

I would not be surprised if these show up at Universal parks like Hammond did for a marked up price. Granted I'm also expecting and hoping for a raincoat version of Nedry in the 3 and 3/4 scale released next year if this re-release of Hammond is something to go by (though also sadly poorly distributed from being a Target exclusive/the Legacy Collection), even if that is far from being the same as this release in the tropical floral shirt and in the Barbasol can of all things.

They really did underestimate how many people are interested in these products (as do the retailers like Target and Walmart and many others that seldomly get new stock in, at least where I am at).

I Whole Heartly Agree. as someone who is sick and tired of seeing the same old stuff on the shelf since January.   I made a Fuss about this a while back, but I got Scorned Because of the Pandemic, but the fact of the matter is, Mattel is not Releasing the toys in the USA like they did last year, because i see plenty of Non USA Folk Post Photos of these toys in there neck of the world, (Be it Europe, Asia, Or Australia). and it just gets on my nerves, and its even more Irritating that the Toys i need the most get Scalped like crazy. Mind some of  you, I dont Buy EVERY Toy in a Wave. I only buy One Toy per Animal, and when the ONLY POSTOSUCHUS in the main line, was announced to be Cancelled (For the Time at least) I got Angry because it was one animal that was not avalible in any other form (Unlike Velociraptor, and T.Rex).

Maybe I just need to admit that my Priorities are Screwed up. And for that Im Sorry Everybody :-\

avatar_Takama @Takama You gotta remember that a lot of this is on retailers too, and what they choose to order and what not to order. Problem is retailers probably just don't take fan and collector demand into account, probably still thinking only children are interested in these toys. Of course it could also very well be a regional thing too (like I know some Target stores here got the new wave of Attack Packs with Bumpy in stock, while of my stores never did, that I have seen at least). The fact this is also a non-movie year does not help matters. Hopefully Camp Cretaceous gives a bit of a boost of getting products on the shelves in the coming months, but it might not be enough (at least it seems to be the reason behind the toy reset Target at least has had lately). I know when Battle at Big Rock was on its way, retailers like Walmart stocked up (excessively even) on some of the newer figures, such as the Dino Rivals Wave 2 Savage Strikes (which also happened with the original Battle Damage figures from 2018, leaving a backup of stock that eventually shelf warmed, and took away space from newer products). Which in turn drives down sales and probably creates the impression there's a lack of interest (such as we have seen happen with the human figures as well due to the overabundance of Owen figures that still shelf warm years later). Rinse and repeat.

I'm glad I have international friends that can help me out with getting them, but it really isn't fair to most folks that don't have that option and can't justify shelling out the expensive shipping it often entails. At the very least I take the opportunity to get things in bulk that are easily obtainable here to save on costs, but had things been more readily available here I could have avoided spending as much. My friend in Germany has already got me the AC Delta, Majungasaurus, Irritator (I need to pay him back for some of these), as well as the Battle Damage Triceratops and Velociraptor, and the AC Nedry and Dilophosaurus on the way (which was surprisingly cheaper to get from him then any of the US retailers carrying them). He also got me the Gasosaurus, and a Postosuchus (which I have had now for a bit which came with in a haul with a bunch of Bullyland, and a few other figures as well, he helped me get from German websites). On the other side of things, I'll be needing to help him out with getting the new Escape from Isla Nublar Legacy Collection set (assuming my stores have begun carrying it in stock when I check next weekend perhaps), since I expect this to have poor global release. Our very own member avatar_triceratops83 @triceratops83 has been thankfully a great help in helping me get some of these elusive figures as well (depending on availability there), such as a Charlie with better paint apps then the one I got from Entertainment Earth, additional Postosuchus, Sauropelta, and Bumpy (which was a wonderful surprise).

Edit: I may have mentioned this before, but this seems to be the reason the Echo toy looks the way it does (and probably the others like Delta, as the toy has the same markings as Charlie, like here as well, which is unlike how she appeared in the film, which the Amber Collection figure got correct, and yes I don't expect the smaller scale to be as accurate with the limited paint budget and primary target audience to begin with):

BrightYellowTriceratops

FYI - Target had a bunch of new Camp Cretaceous stuff out today and the Hammond/Ellie/Raptor/Banner packs as well as a mini action dino set with some new color schemes and Bumpy.

ItsTwentyBelow

Oh yeah, all sold out! And that fast? Pretty stupid. Looks like it mostly benefited the lowest common denominator of collectors again.

We found a site with the field school students today, so overall great day. I still need to break my new Savage Strike Plesiosaurus out of the package too, so I'll have my own kind of Jurassic fun this evening.

MOSASAURUS ATTAAAAACK!  8)

suspsy

Came across the grey Albertosaurus repaint at Walmart this week, but didn't bother with it. Another Canadian posted images of the Postosuchus and the Scutosaurus on Facebook today. I definitely want the latter for my son's collection.

avatar_suspsy @suspsy Hold up you had luck with finding it? I still haven't heard of it hitting the states (and ngl I'm doubting it will, but who knows). I think this was only released in Chile and Brazil, maybe Mexico earlier in the year.

Well, if it never does make it to the US, there's always the chance that the 2021 green CC version will. I've never cared for the head sculpt on that toy; it looks too much like Allosaurus to me.
Untitled by suspsy3, on Flickr

Faelrin

I have to agree with you on the Allosaurus look it has going on. Honestly I've seen a lot of folks feel that way with the original tan and red version released in 2019 (in fact I think I saw someone on instagram customize it into an Allosaurus). I do have the original version of this toy, but I think the new color scheme looks more appealing on it now (I wasn't the biggest fan of it at first, but after seeing in hand pics of it, it has grown on me). Granted I got many others I'm prioritizing from this line and others at the moment so if I do want to seek this one out it'll have to be later in the year anyways.
