Really not sure what I'm doing wrong or why it's showing up for some but not others. I tried to edit it one last time. If that didn't work here is the link to the review I pulled it from. If you scrub to about 3:11 you get the underside view of the tail you are looking for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFvf4oJRhqE

Honestly it is on par with the Carnegie concavenator and it is even superior in terms of sculpture and quality, although perhaps I would have liked a larger giganotosaurus, even if it did not go well with the scale.

Thanks. To me it looks like it lacks the scutes. A pity, since they're cleary visible in the fossil and Carnegie version shows them.

Am I the only person that thinks the back of the head is a little too high? In particular the eye placement is a bit iffy. The entire skull needs a bit more bulk.

I'm really excited about that Sarcosuchus! Sarcosuchus is underrepresented in the toy universe and I think that Safari will change that this year!

I have the Edmontosaurus and the Deinonychus but I'm really excited about that Sarcosuchus! I can't wait to pick it up!

avatar_frank08 @frank08 The sarcosuchus I recommend this to the par of genius of the deinonychus and edmontosaurus of Safari. The sarcosuchus is a collectible figure and the positive thing about that figure is that it has closed jaws, it is one of the few carnivores in the Mesozoic toy animal market that has closed jaws, highly recommended.

frank08

Maybe Safari will make a Paralititian (Planet Dinosaur) to the same scale as the Sarcosuchus. And maybe a Saurosuchus.

So I ordered a big haul from them tonight to take advantage of the sale before it ends a few days from now. Managed to get a free figure (German Shepherd puppy. Wasn't sure if I could choose, so just went with what it had there) out of it too from ordering over $50 worth. It was mainly because I wanted that free shipping (over $75). Ended up ordering the Deinonychus, new Dilophosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, last year's Pteranodon, and some other older figures (particularly a bunch of mammals) that were the Daeodon, Hyaenodon, Doedicurus, Megacerops, and Evolution of Man set. I also ordered the Liopleurodon, and that poor Sunfish with Stand set they've been trying to sell off for years now (under $2 with the sale code). So that's like 16 figures (the man set has 5 figures), and nearly half of my wishlist of (prehistoric) stuff from them getting caught up with now. Hopefully if they have a Black Friday Sale later this year I'll get some of the more pricier figures such as the Stegosaurus, Camarasaurus, Edmontosaurus, and Pachycephalosaurus, etc.

I've done my bit to support Safari, bought the most expensive model four times. Actually, when it first showed up, I decided to be patient and wait for it to arrive in Australia rather than spend a fortune on postage like I always do, but I became worried that I would miss my chance to acquire what was my biggest release for the year and bought a couple from Everythingdinosaur. (Two because I wanted one for my Hadrosaur collection and one for my Hell Creek display.) Anyway the shipment was delayed for so long (ordered 17 march) that I feared it lost and ordered another two from Minizoo when it became available there. However the package from everythingdinosaur finally rocked up today. So don't freak out over international shipping - it will eventually make its way to you. Well, that's my long and pointless story.

I modified one already - minus the crest for an E. annectens, maybe?

In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

frank08

Until Safari makes a new annectens, I would recommend the 2011 Edmontosaurus. It is called "Edmontosaurus regalia" but it lacks a crest. You might like it.

It's perfectly possible that Edmontosaurus annectens also possessed a comb.

avatar_triceratops83 @triceratops83 Lovely herd you got there. Good job with the modification too. Good news about your package arriving, and it gives some insight on how these things are going for now (aside from following the CollectA thread). I guess it makes me more confident to see my orders shipped out internationally at this time.

avatar_suspsy @suspsy Yeah, I didn't mean to rule it out, but I  thought I remembered skin impressions for the top of the skull on E. annectens. A quick Google search seems to prove me wrong. A crestless figure might work for a female of either species, though.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin At this point I'm probably willing to take a chance ordering some things I've wanted from overseas. Though I might stick to smaller, cheaper options until I'm confident there'll be no problems.

checked out my old, but still superb Carnegie version and, sure enough, the scores are there. Never noticed that before.

Hah hah, that was my comment. There is still a chance they will pop up on the Partner's website. (Or Dan's Dinosaurs will just give us the images early)

If Safari says no new reveals until 2021, then you can bet Dan won't reveal anything from them before they do. He's neither dumb nor disrespectful.
