Managed to borrow a smartphone so I took a couple of pics of the finished paper-craft prototype.

Also got a few vids of it hanging up from the ceiling. Almost finished putting together a short youtube flick using the Blender VSE, not great quality but it'll show the assembled model. I'll get that up soon.

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Thanks!

OK so getting a little bit closer to releasing the papercraft, been working on some instructions this week. Probably should've prepped something in 3D to aid this but often it's just more immediate to grab a pencil and start scribbling.

Was intending to colour and label the drawings in Krita but it's becoming clear is that for file size reasons, I'm better off using them as tracing bases to vector over. It'll look slicker anyway. Keyed up a parts list for the instructions, some part names may change.

Revised paper parts and layout, now with part numbers. Tighter fit on the page, managed to enlarge the model a wee bit.

Wow, so much work. Good Idea with the Numbers. Should work fine. How long did it take to "construct" one Dimorphodon during your tests?

Thanks, I've built two now, each took a couple of days but I used PVA which was slow drying and parts required holding/clamping until set. There's probably quicker glues for this sort of thing but I just used what I had to hand.

More assembly sketches for the papercraft Dimorphodon, that should be it. Don't think I'll need any more but I'll know when it fits together.

Started vectoring up the sketches

Pushing myself to finish this now, want to release and move on. Doubt it'll be ready for the weekend but I'll see if I can at least get it content complete.

The paper-craft model is done and can be downloaded by anyone who wants their own cardboard pterosaur.

See THIS TOPIC in 'Dinosaur kits' for the download from my Deviantart gallery

Now I just need to get the 3D print finished :))

Just sorting through some photos of the Dimorphodon 3D print (took on my daughter's phone). Backgrounds are a little noisy but I can fix that.
Should be able to put on Shapeways soon.
