avatar_Martwad @Martwad I hope it is so. I am also not looking forward to the arrival of the package and I am aware that it will take time, so I am calm. Thanks for your words.

Hmm I ordered before may 20th wonder if that matters?  I understand it's out of their control but I ordered a collectible piece to make sure I'd get one it's a bit disconcerting to have it sitting in a shipping facility for so long .  I like ordering from smaller retailers but I kind of feel like it's probably better to wait til things get better.   Had a similar issue with Nanmus Mosasaur recently that caused me some confusion and money .

I placed an order with Minizoo in late February, the package supposedly left Australia April 2nd and only just got here last week.

I've never had a package from Minizoo take over two weeks before, and I always get the cheapest shipping.

Over9K

To the USA from China (China Post) is 40/50 days, from Japan (Japan Post/EMS/SMS) is "Not Accepted", they're literally not accepting shipments bound for the USA at this time. DHL is shipping from both countries, but expensive, brutally so for single parcels in some cases, unless the retailer or distributor has a contract with them to offer service at a bespoke rate.

In Japan many retailers/distributors are holding orders for US customers, until such time as shipping can resume.

Shonisaurus

I have been told in the Minizoo store that shipping is by sea and that the package will be delayed 8-12 weeks after shipment. Sea shipments are delayed, so it leaves me a little more at ease. If the shipment is standard, the shipment will be delayed more than if it is a more expensive shipment.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Really wish I had known that before placing the order. :/

Dang, I was just about to order from MiniZoo, too. I guess I could order from someone else, but I wanted to add the Collecta Minke Whale to my order, and they're the only online retailer I've found so far that has it in stock.

Good News!
I just got an email from Australia Post indicating that my package (Ordered April 5) has arrived at US customs and the tracking confirms it. Now lets see how long this last stage takes (normally it is only ≈3 days for me, but the package went to San Francisco rather than the usual Los Angeles so might take longer even without Covid delays).

But there is hope!

Thanks! I'll check what US shipping is like...

Shonisaurus

By the way, when will the latest news from Collecta be commercialized? I mean lisowicia, megalodon, saltriovenator, mapusaurus, allosaurus, prehistoric invertebrates, caviramu and megalodon. I hope that nothing bad has happened from the economic point of view to the Collecta brand is one of my favorite toy dinosaur brands.

Yes, we're used to different costs. Loon wanted to help me with the Battat Figures from Amazon US, because they are dirt cheap over there. But it was 34 Dollars shipping to Germany, wich makes them not that cheap anymore... :(

Anybody know when the Megalodon will be available?

Duna

I've placed an order in www.alcaiceria.com for the Bajadasaurus and Microraptor and other figures (Collecta elasmotherium and Daeodon and Schleich oviraptor and kentrosaurus). They have told me that they have started preparing the orders this week and have asked the detailers for the new figures. I'll will wait for the Collecta ones to complete my order, they calculate it to be sent in about one or two weeks.
I don't mind to wait because I want to support them in this difficult time, because they have been fully closed for two months.

Shonisaurus

I am going to support my Store at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid. Regarding Collecta and Papo, I will wait for whatever is necessary, we must help the most vulnerable businesses due to the crisis of the pandemic. Totally agree with you Duna.

[about Lystrosaurus] Astonishingly, their vast herds make up more than half of all life on Earth. Never again will a single species do so well.

Liking 2020 figures.

Yes, I'd say they're up your alley, aren't they? :)

I honestly would like to have mostly Collecta Deluxe Prehistoric Animals, and one that I am most interested in is the Collecta megalodon, seeing the review on dinotoyblog.com and I know it is an unpopular opinion. Its size is immense and that is a point in its favor with respect to the Collecta brand. Except for the PNSO vinyl version megalodon, I think it will be the largest megalodon I have ever had in my collection of prehistoric toy animals.

Similar for me.  I ordered on May 12th and it arrived in San Francisco May 22nd. It appears that at later times of order, shipping times are shorter. But my package has not left San Francisco. I'm not sure how bad shipping times are in the U.S.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD
