Ankylosaurus and baryonix look really nice ...

suspsy

Having already expressed my disdain for Mojo's decision to release what I consider to be a largely boring lineup, I feel it is only fair to give them a compliment as well: both the sculpting and accuracy of their products has genuinely improved over the years. That Troodon may be a wastebasket taxon, but it's head, shoulders, and butt above Mojo's last attempt at a feathered Velociraptor. Looks nicer than the Deinonychus too.

That said, they're still not in the same class as CollectA, PNSO, or Safari. Far from it. Hopefully they'll keep working at it.

what is the sauropod with the spikes running down its back supposed to be?
Mamenchisaurus.
I wonder if it will be big enough to represent a 1:40-1:30 scale M.constructus since is both the smallest and the type species of Mamenchisaurus

really? I didn't recognize it b/c Ive always associated it with having its neck held out horizontally like the brontosaurus figure does. I didn't know that depiction has been updated. I really like it!

Didn't they release the trike last year
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

Shonisaurus

Yes they launched a fabulous triceratops last year although Mojo was the best triceratops figure but of a very small size.

It was an approximately 1/40 scale size, with the more retro treatment of the front feet, but overall a fine Triceratops and vastly superior to this one. Really odd that this one got re-released. Maybe they had to flog some unmoved excess inventory.

Appalachiosaurus

They all have a nice retro look to them. Not nice enough to actually buy of course, but not eye draining bad like some of their worse years.

Browsing the Internet I have seen everythingdinosaur revelations of the photographs of the Mojo 2020 dinosaurs I pass you the links of his facebook page:

Baryonyx with Mojo 2020 articulated jaw:

Ankylosaurus Mojo 2020:

Allosaurus Mojo 2020 (with articulated jaw I guess):

The size I think is superior to its replicas last year and the painting of the figures with their initial prototypes do not differ much. I hope this helps everyone who is interested in some Mojo 2020 figure.

Faelrin

Wow that Baryonyx looks quite nice I think. I really like the green color scheme with the black markings on the back it has. The Ankylosaurus is okay too, for an outdated interpretation I guess. I think Mojo's previous Allosaurus was a bit better perhaps, at the very least in regards to the color scheme it had.

Loon

The Baryonyx doesn't look bad at all. But nothing about is really screaming "Baryonyx" to me. It's gotta be the head, I've always thought Mojo had the ugliest head sculpts.

Shonisaurus

I pass the link of an article of everythingdinosaur where the real dinosaurs (the ones that are going to be marketed) of Mojo 2020 are commented sincerely they do not fortunately differ from the prototypes shown and they are quite good figures. The baryonyx, spinosaurus and sauropods are pretty decent figures, I pass the link:

https://blog.everythingdinosaur.co.uk/blog/_archives/2019/12/04/new-mojo-fun-prehistoric-life-dinosaur-models-part-1.html

Only a part of the Mojo 2020 dinosaurs is shown in future articles, the rest of the figures that are as we know twelve will be commented.

SidB

I like the sauropods - they display nicely here; the bary looks better than in the earlier pictorial releases, particularly the paintwork, I guess that I'm too wedded to the new look of the spino to get excited about this one. Ditto the ankylosaurus.

^all that spray painting though. Lots and lots of spray painting!  :P

😂 I was thinking the same thing! The paint app looks weird, almost makes the figures look like paper cutouts 🤣 this is especially true with the sauropods.

Here is the second batch of Mojo 2020 dinosaurs in the second one explained by everythingdinosaur:

https://blog.everythingdinosaur.co.uk/blog/_archives/2019/12/05/new-mojo-fun-prehistoric-life-dinosaur-models-part-2.html

The ones that attract my attention most positively are the troodon and the Mojo 2020 mandschurosaurus.

SidB

The Mandschurosurus  is very welcome, being uncommon. It seems rather well executed for a Mojo product. One thing for sure, it'll be a lot less expensive than the PNSO hollow one of several years ago. They are improving, though I remain mystified by their re-release of the old-style Triceratops. Last year's was such a quantum leap for Mojo in the Triceratops department and now this really bizarre reversion. Go figure!

Honestly the Mandschurosaurus and Troodon are looking really nice in those images. Probably some of Mojo's best I think, and a step in the right direction. Not so much for their other figures though. They just look like more of the same.

Edit: I was meaning specifically those in the part 2 blog post by Everything Dinosaur.

In regards to all, I have to say those two, and the Baryonyx are probably my favorites of the ones they've put out for this year (I think the Ankylosaurus is quite adorable, but it sure is based on an outdated reconstruction of sorts). Looks like the production samples are looking pretty good this time around too in terms of paint apps, if that video is anything to go by.

Another edit: I wonder why the Giganotosaurus was left out if the rest were sent to him?

Sim

I was wondering why the Giganotosaurus wasn't in an Everything Dinosaur blog post, and why it wasn't sent to the maker of the video.  This was answered near the end of the video though, where Andy's Dinosaur Reviews says the Giganotosaurus wasn't ready yet.

suspsy

I frankly have no interest in any of these toys, but I am happy to see another Brontosaurus toy.
