Thanks so much everyone. To answer a few question, I have written a message to Papo's official Facebook page. I asked them where I can apply for an employment, actually. But regarding the Giga itself, I haven't said anything yet. I very well might, but if there are any representatives in the forum, then they would've seen the reactions by now, I think. In any case I have to say that the reaction to my work has been a real whirlwind and I'm happy that it has merited the attention. I love Papo's style and I've been collecting their figures since 2003. They've always been my favorite figure company and I definitely want them to put more attention to creating more anatomically and paleontologically correct representations of the animals. That will most definitely pick up the sales and they have to realize that it's time to follow the current data more.

Have you shared it with Papo?

I had posted the edit on my Instagram and tagged their profile. Is there another official way to get in touch with them besides the facebook page and their website? Maybe a representative?

Shonisaurus

avatar_Aram-Rex @Aram-Rex I guess with that design the giganotosaurus would be more expensive but it would be a more realistic and more acceptable dinosaur for those of us who are collectors. If they listened to you they would change the format of the current giganotosaurus, an attitude on the part of Papo that I see totally impossible at the moment. The same inspires that photoshop of that beautiful giganotosaurus, to Papo for the realization of a scientific giganotosaurus in limited version as his great spinosaurus of 2019.

I wrote last year to Papo France using the Contact form in their webpage, I even added a picture to the form and then they replied to me. The reply mail is from info@papo-france. com. But I don't think they reply directly, you can try.

If Papo does a running or a standing giganotosaurus just like yours, I'll promise I will buy it.

The Spanish shop Alcaicería added the new figures for preorder. The interesting thing is that there's their price.

https://www.alcaiceria.com/alcaiceria/compras/productos.php?CCODPRO=Papo&CCODSUB=Prehistoricos&ESPECIAL=2020

I suppose that the Megaloceros will be quite small, if its price is lower than the feathered Velociraptor. That's sad!

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

avatar_Killekor @Killekor I understand that prehistoric mammals are less long and therefore cost less but are more bulky. Do not forget that the velociraptor with feathers has a long tail. The megaloceros barely has a tail. It will be medium-sized but bulky like the vast majority of prehistoric mammals and I would honestly settle for this opinion, although maybe and I hope I'm not mistaken that megaloceros is larger than we initially figured. It looks immense at the toy fair in London.

On the other hand, Papo giganotosaurus, of course, must be immense for the price, although it will not be for the length but for the height of the dinosaur.

avatar_Aram-Rex @Aram-Rex Absolutely fantastic work and I would buy your photoshopped figure for 3x to 4x the price of what papo would sell it for. That's just how much value you added to the figure by reposing it.
Insanity that they would rather go for dramaticism in fiction than have a beautifully accurate and respected figure in the market. I guess, in the end, papo really does just see them as toys.

Killekor

I've contacted Alcaicería and I have some interesting news:

They told me that the figures will be released in three waves, respectively in March, June and September. I don't know which figures will be released before and which later, but considering the informations from Everything Dinosaur I suppose that the release schedule will be this one:

March: Repaints.
June: Megaloceros.
September: Giganotosaurus, Stigymoloch and Chilesaurus.

This means that the Magaloceros has been delayed of one month (unsurprising).

Papo 2020 line is on their site now, and there are some additional pictures of the Giga and Chilesaurus.. I also noticed they have the following codes: 55080 - Megaloceros / 55082 - Chilesaurus / 55083 - Giganotosaurus / 55084 - Stygimoloch / 55085 - Parasaurolophus / 55086 - Feathered velociraptor.
55081 is missing.. 2020's Limited Edition?

Any news on that?

Andre

I haven't heard anything about a 2020 Limited Edition... At this point last year we already had pictures of the Spinosaurus...

Shonisaurus

A @Andre They still take a limited edition figure that does not belong to the prehistoric world. As can be the medieval world, wild animals ... I don't think it has to be necessarily every year prehistoric theme. However, I am not aware of whether the limited edition refers only to figures of dinosaurs or other prehistoric animals.

Lu_Yuping

Has there been any word from Everything Dinosaur yet as to when the Papo Limited Edition Dreadnoughtus might be in stock? I'm guessing end of the year like the Spino.

avatar_Lu_Yuping @Lu_Yuping To my knowledge everythingdinosaur has not commented on a limited edition dreadnoughtus of Papo. Where have you been notified of the news? I wish that was true. To be known by members of the DTF nobody has spoken of a dreadnoughtus by Papo.

On the other hand, welcome to the DTF.

Hmm, no mention at all on western forums. I read it on a Chinese collecting website, maybe it was just a rumour. I hope not.

Until it is confirmed by Papo, they are only rumors. Hopefully they make that sauropod so dark in the toy market, although unfortunately his skull is not known. I would sincerely wish in my case a turiasaurus whose paleontological remains are more complete and at least their skull is known.

I love this recently done Dreadnoughtus rendition of one of my favourite argentinian sculptors, Lucas Jaymez (Dinoesculturas, you can follow in Facebook and Instagram):

Isn't Dreadnoughtus too obscure for Papo? 🤔
