I should clarify also that they are available for pre-order. HLJ will hold things for you until you're ready to ship. Normally I think there's a 60-day limit on this service, but right now they're holding things indefinitely until standard air mail is restored. As triceratops83 mentioned, FedEx and DHL are still available, but of course they cost more.

By the way, when will Brett be able to order these sculptures from Soft Model Favorite? I am referring to quetzalcoatlus, pachycephalosaurus, diplodocus, iguanodon, tarbosaurus and carnotauxrus apart from the vinyl model of quetzalcoatlus. I am interested in those figures.

Favorite vinyl figures are fabulous, far better than all of their predecessors in the toy market. Honestly, I would like to buy these figures and in fact I have them pre-ordered from Brett but with this problem of the pandemic and the retentions of packages from Asia, I believe that their commercialization will be slowed down and, above all, they will reach European collectors who request these figures.

The whole shipping situation from Japan to worldwide is quite complicated due to pandemic.
Only the most expensive ways are globally working (DHL, FedEx).

Hobby Search has all the new big vinyl Favorite figures... I just pre-ordered the Tarbosaurus. Are there any images of that yet??

Ouch! That seam!!

I understand that this vinyl dinosaur is not at the level of other figures of the same material and of the same brand this year. I really like the color blue but honestly in this theropod it does not fit me aesthetically and that I am a follower of the Favorite brand. The seams is another imperfection of that figure, although it is obviously intended for children mainly and not for collectors.

I just received my shipment of the six new Favorite "soft" figures from Brett yesterday in the mail. Definitely excited. Now we've all seen the images of these, so no need to post them here, but I did measure these sculpts and , comparing them against the actual sizes of the animals, was able to come up with approximate scales for each, for those who find this of value and interest. Here are the results:

Tarbosaurus, based on a large 39 foot long animal - 1/53. This compares well with the Tyrannosaurs' of the 2004 and 20013 editions, scaled at approximately 1/50.

Diplodocus, based on a 90 footer - 1/65. This is a larger scale than the Apatosaurus and Brachiosaurus from 2004, and the Brach from 2013, which were roughly 1/80.

Iguanodon, based on a 33 foot long animal - 1/48.

Carnotaurus, based on a 29 foot long specimen - 1/41.

Pachycepalosaurus, based on a 15 footer - 1/23, and finally ...

Quetzalcoatlus, on the basis of a 33 foot wide wingspan - 1/50.

S @SidB Congrats on receiving yours. I just paid him yesterday for my orders (Soft Model Diplodocus and the Cambrian Mini Model set). Now the wait for them to ship, and eventually hopefully make their way to me begins. Good to see what scale this Diplocodus is in. A bit on the small side, but still should be nice on the shelf. It can finally give my lonesome sauropods, the Safari Ltd Apatosaurus and Battat Terra Amargasaurus, another 'friend'.

Thanks, avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin , your diplo will scale well with the Safari in particular. I'm pretty sure that mine is easily the favorite (no pun intended) of this little group of six. I also have the majority, if not all of the older figures, including the museum exclusives, so there's plenty of opportunities to arrange good matches, scale-wise.

You definitely need more sauropods if those will be its only friends :)

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres You are right I certainly do. I have had the Safari Ltd Camarasaurus on my wishlist for a while now. The new CollectA Bajadasaurus also interests me as well as their slightly older Brontosaurus. The Eofauna Atlasaurus, and Safari Ltd Nigersaurus and Shunosaurus are also on my wishlist as a few other Amargasaurus (such as PNSO's) and Diplodocus (such as CollectA's) options. While the W-Dragon Giraffatitan interests me, I want to wait for a more affordable take on this genus.

As far as sauropodomorphs go, I wait for a new Plateosaurus and Massospondylus (and maybe a proper Mussaurus as well), and as far as other sauropods go I hope to see Argentinosaurus and Dreadnaughtus.

As for the Quetzalcoatlus, I found these dimensions:

57.2 x 34 x 5 cm

Not the real ones, it's too big.
What scale does it match ?
I red 1/50 above, how big does it look compare to the Papo Quetzalcoatlus ?

Thanks

I think it being that large is sort of fun.

Could be nice for some, but too big for me.

Anyway what I am seing here:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0244/6127/9284/files/20200630_JOURNAL_5.jpg?v=1593486107

Does not seem to be 60cm long...
And a 1/50 Quetzalcoatlus, should be a lot smaller than 57 cm...

Shonisaurus

It would be my first quetzalcoatlus at a giant size. It seems to me a beautiful figure. A large pterosaur is not a problem of space in my case as it is a problem in the case of land and marine animals. A pterosaur or other prehistoric flying creature can always be hung from a ceiling wire.

I want to hang it as well, and I do have enough space, even for a 57cm long Quetzacoatlus I guess.
But I Just want a 1/35 flying Quetzacoatlus for a matter of scale coherence, I would like to make it fit my other figures.
However I have no idea how big should a 1/35 Quetzacoatlus be with wings deployed.
If it really is 57cm long, isn't it more 1/25 or something like that ?
Is the Papo one 1/35 ?

That picture gives me the feeling it's not a 57cm long figure, but the angle it was taken with does not help, maybe it's just an impression...

I really the white and black colors the chose for this figure.

Pretty sure those are the dimensions of the vinyl model Quetzacoatlus, rather than the smaller soft model Quetzacoatlus...
