What are you still waiting on the definitive version of?

I would like a larger atopodentatus than its version of PNSO even made by the larger, more precise and detailed PNSO brand. We need a more precise figure of that rare and beautiful prehistoric sea creature.

Okay I have another prehistoric horror I would like to see done at some point. Chimerarachne yingi was that weird spider looking thing found in amber a few years back, and I really do think that would make for an interesting figure at least.

Additionally although the more famous Archelon is also lacking in representation, I would like to see Stupendemys at some point too what with it being the largest (freshwater) turtle discovered yet. Always could use more figures of prehistoric turtles. It was also a contemporary to Gryposuchus and Purrussaurus which either don't have any figures yet, or are sorely lacking in them too.

Another thing I've been wondering is if there are any prehistoric bat figures out there? Onychonycteris and/or Icaronycteris are certainly something I would go with due to some of their primitive features, such as the longer tails, etc. Though if those aren't as marketable then maybe the fragmentary Necromantis would be worth going with based on the research suggesting it was probably a carnivore, and possibly the name, which means death-eater. Desmodus draculae would also be interesting to see as it was larger then the current day vampire bats, and also seems to have gone extinct rather recently geologically speaking.

Edit: As bats are some of my favorite extant animals I'm probably biased in this regard.

And another edit: I think its time we get some decent Moa and Haast's eagle figures too. Apparently there are only a few out there for either of these. Megalania too honestly. I think all of these would be good contenders for Southlands Replicas to make, but honestly I would welcome these from any of the major players at this point in time.

With all due respect, I fail to understand why 1 head would be preferable to anyone. I guess it would represent the more typical Hyphalosaurus, but still.

Ha ha, I definitely see the appeal of a twin-noggin monster, but I'm personally more interested in the standard morphology than teratologies. I think if a Hyphalosaurus is made, it's almost certain to have two heads, since that's the reason most people are even aware of it. And heck, I'll be happy to have it.

Funnily enough, I've known about Hyphalosaurus for a while, but only found out about the two headed specimen because of this discussion  :P

I would like Collecta, Safari, Papo, PNSO, Favorite or Eofauna to make a juratyrant figure that I mentioned in a game post. That tyrannosauroid is a dinosaur whose fossil remains are quite incomplete but reasonably its fragments are sufficient to speculate how that theropod would be. It would be interesting if they made a definitive replica of that dinosaur that I think is unprecedented in the toy market.

I would like the first replica of the juratyrant and that that first replica be the definitive one in brilliance, beauty and finish and scientifically well done.

Just posting here to let folks know I've done a massive edit of my post on the first page, that I spent several days working on and compiling together. Many of these either still don't have figures, have too few options, or the only options are outdated. I really hope companies like CollectA, Eofauna,  PNSO, or Safari Ltd can help give us these in the coming years, if not any other companies.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, that's an amazing list. I'd especially love to see some of those Paleozoic and Triassic taxa made.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Yowie has made a few prehistoric bats in the past, however they've all been retired for almost two decades now, meaning they're very quite hard to find.

Also, funny you should mention Desmodus draculae; despite being the single most famous species of bat, none of the major companies have ever made a figure of the common vampire bat, let alone its larger extinct relative.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Thanks. I was working on some additions over the past couple of days, and this actually reminded me to go and update it again with them. The bulk of the additions this time have mostly been recently discovered and/or described genus within the past couple of years (basically the time I've been on this forum), so of course figures will still be lacking.

Edit: I also really agree on the Paleozoic and Triassic stuff, but well I am definitely really biased towards wanting more of that stuff (and long over due on some sets, particularly Favorite's Burgess Shale set, and Colorata's Paleozoic box, if not many others like those from Kaiyodo). Honestly it's probably because of my exposure to that old book series I had read as a kid that was about the evolution of life on earth, and Walking With Monsters as well (which is definitely where my love of Anomalocaris spawned from, among many others).

Things I added include: Cambroraster, Kootenayscolex, Qinscolex (remember when I called this tiny micro thing an eldritch abomination because of the artwork lol?), Ampyx, Sollasina, Ascendonanus, Gordodon, Bulbasaurus, Platysiagum, Lingwulong, Caihong, Serikornis, Junornis, Liaoningosaurus, Callichimaera, Corythoraptor, Heyuannia, Lessianibatis, etc.

Of those I would really like to see PNSO do minis/"Little Dinosaur" figures of Platysiagum, Caihong, Serikornis, Junornis, Liaoningosaurus, and maybe some of the others. Despite being behind on them, they have certainly satisfied my need for numerous species (Anchiornis, Mei, Tianyulong, Sinosauropteryx, Yi, etc). Heck come to think of it, maybe even Zhenyuanlong would be good to see in that line up as well.

avatar_Ravonium @Ravonium I did stumble upon those while doing thorough searches on both dinotoycollector.com, and toyanimalwiki.com. I agree it is pretty disappointing that even the extant bat has been neglected as a figure, which is rather surprising, as despite it not playing any part in vampire myths, its certainly become attributed to it because of its diet, so one would think it would have more out there going for it. Though after looking, even figures of extant bats are rather lacking (except as generic figures to serve as Halloween decorations I guess, etc).

I have to say that is an impressive list, very much agreed with as many of the genera you mentioned that I can remember.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Shonisaurus

It is an impressive list but I would personally like to make a turiasaurus any brand even Eofauna is one of the largest sauropods found in Europe. On the other hand the list of avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin  is interesting that it made some mark on all the fauna of the Cambrian, and that there was more variety of creatures of the Cambrian apart from those shown by Favorite and Safari.

avatar_REBOR_STUDIO @REBOR_STUDIO s Titanoboa is going to be out there for the hunt.

I say for "the Hunt" Because the model is so Limited, that the Only Preorders for this figure just sold out alredy.

Good luck with the hunt, Scalpers can be total ********

B @brontosauruschuck they're not very satisfying as representations but back in the early aughts, Yowie made the Neogene python Liasis (https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Bluff_Downs_giant_python) and the more recent but more primitive snake Wonambi (https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Yowies_Lost_Kingdom_41_Giant_Wonambi). These figures are both listed on dinotoycollector.com but unfortunately don't have photos yet; I've been meaning to add some.

Not counting model kits... Dilophosaurus. With the specification that it needs to be under 50€.

I won't even hope for a Liliensternus. Unless CollectA updates their old one.

But Dilopho really gets to me because quite a bunch of companies have released one or two but they never looked quite right to me. If there was a smaller toy version of the Memory Museum Dilopho, that would probably be it.

Correction: The MM figure still has too skinny arms so my search for the perfect toy Dilo silhouette continues.

avatar_SenSx @SenSx Sarcosuchus from Safari is a pretty good version, although I really wish Rebor had made his own sarcosuchus. I hope that perhaps PNSO or another brand can make another sarcosuchus additional to that of Safari and with an even much larger size.

Yes thanks, I'm still disappointed, I would have bought both Sarcosuchus and Deinosuchus, I hope Nanmu/W-Dragon/PNSO or another brand eventualy decides to make one.
The safari looks good, but I'm looking for a much bigger one.

Sim

One I'd like to add to my list is Ceratosaurus.  Like Carnotaurus there are some good versions of it, but none that appeal to me.

Jose S.M.

I'm still waiting for a Ceratosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus. Safari has a pretty nice cerato but I don't like the feet, too big. And the CollectA one is too big for me. Safari's Carcharodontosaurus is kind of small and it lacks something to me. I can't exactly say what but it doesn't speak to me in the way other Safari theropods had.
