That Lambeosaurus is a beauty!

That's gorgerous looking Lambeosaurus! But it's PNSO, so I need to see some in-hand photos of the figure, before I get it.  :P

avatar_Dinoxels @Dinoxels The head might seem unusual at first glance but it actually matches up with the specimen ROM 794.

So that is really not something to concerned about.
I agree on the colouration but we should have already learned by now that the factory paint job on PNSO models looks never as good as the promotional images and patterns like this have to be stamped on otherwise the figure would get ridiculously expensive.
The same is done for toys of modern giraffes, zebras, tigers, leopards, etc. even when it says "hand-painted".
In all honesty however a sculpt should not be judged by its factory paint job.
The arms don't seem small, they have the proper length, I suspect you meant that they are thin but this is a hadrosaur, not an iguanodontid, these are very gracile animals.

That being said, finally the Lambeosaurus figure I've been waiting for.
The Bullyland one is charming but unfortunately has that odd extra toe.
I was almost tempted to get the Geoworld one and repaint it but gladly that is out of question now that this one exists.

Thanks for doing these comparisons. The snout length felt off to me too, but it looks like it's exactly right, it just has a huge keratin extension (which we know hadrosaurs had) at the tip. Whether or not that extension should be more downturned, I'm not sure, but lambeosaurines were obviously doing something very different with their beaks than edmontosaurs so I don't think we can extend the same "shovel bill" look across hadrosauridae.

Anyway I splurged and just bought both this and Tuojiangosaurus. Hopefully they don't announce any other must-haves this week  ;D

Just woke up to see this. That Lambeosaurus is stunning. Completely unexpected. I would have thought they would do a larger Olorotitan first, if not another Tsintaosaurus. Well here's to hoping they do a larger one of those and the Ouranosaurus eventually.

Anyways I couldn't be more excited. Even though I just got the Bullyland one this year this is easily a must have. I've always wanted to see a Lambeosaurus figure with a green body of sorts too, and this pulls it off really nice. All those years of waiting paid off (though of course I still would like to see Safari Ltd or CollectA do one but this fills a void with the Bullyland one retired now). I like that they remembered the overgrown keratin on the jaws as well, which is like Safari Ltd's new Edmontosaurus.

Definitely looking forward to getting this and their other recent releases soon, as well the eventual in hand pics and comparisons with other hadrosaurid and/or ornithopod figures.

Edit: Upon closer inspection of the images it appears to have a subtle pebbly texturing on the body. I only wish it was a little prominent but it is likely accurate at this size. But well guess I'll find out once I can get it in hand if it feels smooth or not.

I'm very pleased with this one! I actually like the colors and it's a genus that has little representation. Going to order both probably this week.

Curious if the Tuojiangosaurus and Lambeosaurus are sculpted by Zhao.
They seem seem a little different in terms of how the musculature is sculpted.
Does anyone know?

The Lambeosaurus looks awesome.
Lines up well with the Scott Hartman skeletal.
The skin details look shallow compared to the Ankylosaurus or Tuojiangosaurus though.

True. While hadrosaurs skin texture was so fine-grained that it should look essentially smooth at this scale, they could have added wrinkles or other large-scale texture variances like in the Safari edmontosaur. Appropriately, the Invicta Lambeosaurus is a master class on how to add nice detail to a smooth-skinned animal.

Just ordered one. Thanks all for the alert!

Fenestra

Yeah couldn't resist....ordered one as well.  ;D

Duna

I have also ordered one. It's PNSO mid-size range! They are all fantastic. Well sculpted, nicely painted, afordable price ... I don't need to watch more to order one.
And it's perfect for my collection of classic dinosaurs (I will love also a Tsintaosaurus).

Jose S.M.

I was another one who couldn't resist! Was planning to get it next week but why wait  :D

The product photo looks like a digital illustration, hard to believe it's a photo. Very nice surprise, this.

finally another option for a lambeo figure! Love the sculpt! Hate the paint job!  :P

So I've seen some talk about this figure's scale. It's 1:40 as opposed to the 1:35 scale these medium guys are usually.

Sim

The Tuojiangosaurus and Lambeosaurus look impressive, but we're now at five ornithischians in this line and still no theropods... ???  I hope PNSO releases some theropods for this line that aren't Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, Giganotosaurus or Allosaurus.  Austroraptor would be amazing!

:D  Must-have! O.k., this is #34. Now I'm wondering what #30-33 are ??? . And we still don't know what #28 is.

BTW: My Microraptor has arrived yesterday and I think it's really adorable :) .

The new Lambeosaurus is number 32, so there's still four figures left to be revealed at least.

Hmm, let's see... Lambeosaurus lambei is about 9.5m. This model is 246mm linear. Measured along the curves it would be a few cm longer. At 1:35 it should be 271mm. So this model is actually 1:38 if not accounting for curvature, probably closer to 1:37 or 1:36 accounting for curvature. Close enough. The real test will be comparing skull length to the ROM skull which it's clearly based on. Either way it could stand in for a slightly smaller individual in 1:35, or a slightly larger individual in 1:40.

Jose S.M.

Works both ways for me, if it's 1:35 would look in scale with Safari's Edmontosaurus and Gryposaurus and if it's 1:40 it will go together with Battat Parasaurolophus and Carnegie Corythosaurus!
