Honestly I've become tempted by the Giraffatitan. But, is it all that up to date? I don't know, it's just the neck seems a little retro to me, but I could be wrong.

I don't know that much about sauropod neck anatomy, so I can't comment on that. But relative to, say, the Papo model, the nostrils are moved forward (I know there's controversy about that, but I find the dorsal placement unlikely), and the front feet are corrected.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I haven't been following this thread, does anyone know if the company who makes it calls the figure "Giraffatitan"?  Or do they call it "Brachiosaurus"?  Also, what is this company's name, W-Dragon or Wan Long Teng?

I've seen the figure listed as both Giraffatitan or Brachiosaurus.
Lana Time Shop and Dan's Dinosaurs list it as Giraffatitan.
I think the company's English name is W-Dragon, while it is called Wan Long Tang (万龙堂)in Mandarin.

W-Dragon themselves refers to the figure as Giraffatitan "長頸巨龍" as well. Though they do acknowledge that people are more familiar with Brachiosaurus "腕龍".
The skeletal reference they used is Nima's Giraffatitan skeletal. Further solidifying that this figure is indeed a Giraffatitan.

Anymore news on the WD Giga?

I went to Sugo toys, an Australian site to pre order mine at 92 total. It would've been 85 but express shipping lol

Fabulous giganotosaurus from W-dragon. I wish that both the W-dragon brand and the Nanmu brand are marketed, they will more than replace Papo's giganotosaurus whose figure suffers from some faults.

nnq2603

Giganotosaurus looks incredible in their demo images. The Giraffatitan I got looks a bit desaturated than I expected, still a nice figure. IMO, by real eyes in standard room lighting,  its skin shade is undertinted, faded a little bit, it looks brighter than other dino in similar skin color (like the Apatosaurus pp). Some photos w-dragon Giraffatitan side by side with Papo Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus.

Shonisaurus

It is a magnificent figure. Its size is large but the size is not exaggerated for a sauropod fortunately. A dinosaur that must be taken into account in collecting along with the giganotosaurus from W-Dragon.

Ok thank you for the heads up !

I don't know if mine will be shipped soon, because I've also ordered the Nanmu Ceratosaurus to the same seller that told me he'd send both together.
