So i was going around the web when i saw this place where you can make your own tier lists. NOTE THESE ARE MY OPINION
Heres one for Papo figures in general

And heres one for 2019 figures

These are organized by size, sculpt and accuraccy. I didn't make the list, i just ranked them, so don't expect every figure. Also i was in a rush, so some figures are misplaced

In what universe are the Papo Baryonyx, Oviraptor, and Polacanthus better than most of the figures in the B category?

Shonisaurus

It seems unfair to me to place the elasmotherium in the category of "passable" or acceptable figures. It is honestly a great figure, and the allosaurus and carnotaurus from Safari are acceptable figures? I understand that you are totally wrong and the same with regard to the Safari stegosaurus whose imprint is outstanding and preciously scientific although it has been very critical of this excellent figure.

On the other hand, the coelodonta antiquitatis from Safari I do not understand why it is classified as a bad figure, it is one of the best figures of woolly rhinoceros made to date. The assessment of the figures by that list is subjective, I honestly do not share their criteria.

On the other hand, no prehistoric animal figure toy is bad as long as there is a child or collector who likes it.

Yeah, this is an opinion I've seen more than once. I don't really get it. It's a perfect replica, I'm guessing some people either don't like prehistoric mammals, or just don't know what a Woolly Rhino's supposed to look like.

CityRaptor

Personally I have no interest in prehistoric mammals, but I aknowledge that it is a well done figure. I also noticed that there is not a single one of Papo's prehistoric mammals on the Papo list.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

It´s all a matter of taste, isn´t it?
Don´t care much for lists like these, I have an opinion of my own.

SidB

Utterly subjective, IMO. I generally stay a country mile away from "rankings" such as this, as they lack any substantive objectivity. Any personal list is just fine for any given individual, but the value of our polls and the voting on the DTB is to level off the extreme subjectivism that finds its way into some personal assessments. I'm with you avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor . Personal opinions are quite fine, but they need to be tempered by a certain group consensus.

In Stegotyranno's :P
You can go to that website and create your own based on your tastes. I did one as well using the 2019 dinosaurs template:

Sorted them by how much I like them.

Stegotyranno420

EVery one note, its just my OPINION. As sir Saurian Target once(actually lots of time) said"Im NOT the final authority on Carnivores(the video game franchise that also has a great community)" Expect instead of dinosaur hunting video games, its dinosaur models.ALso for some reason, some were misplaced, such as the pachyrhinosaurus. So yeah.
I posted it so i could see other folks opinions. Sorry for the confusion

SidB

avatar_Stegotyranno420 @Stegotyranno ,got it!  As an exercise in sorting one's own preferences - good, why not? Of course it's actually a real positive when we discover that there's a range of opinions, which tastes and personal preferences reflect.

I'm surprised there are people who think the blob that is Papo's Stegosaurus is better than Safari's naturalistic Stegosaurus.

Well, there are people who prefer the Jurassic Park versions to the real deal. And the Papo is pretty much that.

its not thats its jurassic park. I just like the detais and paint more.
it the real deal was like that, off course id go after that

Sim

I'm not sure the Papo Stegosaurus is much like The Lost World's version.  The Papo has scales on its plates while TLW one doesn't, the Papo also has a tiny tail that's shorter than TLW's and the tail of a real Stegosaurus.  That's why I said it's a blob, the Papo Stegosaurus doesn't have much thought put into the different body parts of the animal.  Does the Papo Stego even have nostrils?

Honestly if it's done light-heartedly and not taking anything personal, this is kind of fun and seeing so many variations shows how diverse the community is. I get wide eyes and ask how????? Repeatedly while seeing the lists but I understand it's individual tastes  ;D

Edit: I decided to go with it! I supposed best and worst have to have only one figure each, if not I would move Papo Spino and CollectA Edaphosaurus to the top spot. Also the only thing that prevented Safari Styraco to be in the great area is the horns, if those things werent so warped in most cases!

For me it's because the blob's new color scheme is more to my liking while Safari's does the usual brown/orange/beige that I already hate on CollectA :P Also the blob is cheaper here than the Safari one while being slightly bigger and having a slightly more interactive pose.

So far all people who have done the tierlist hate the blue plesiosaur. We are united in hatred >:D
