I'm still struggling. I'm hoping someone can lead me by the hand!

I don't want the game, just some of the miniatures/little models. I haven't decided which ones. But likely to be Precambrian and Cambrian.

Am I correct in thinking that if I go for the first option with reward, $1 or more with access to pledge manager later, that means I simply pledge a certain amount now? Then I decide what I actually want if the project gets funded.

Does anyone know if you can add more at the pledge manager stage if your original pledge isn't enough for what you eventually decide on?

Am I correct in understanding that if I go for the $1 or more pick what you want option, then I choose now what I want and pledge accordingly?

So that is the only difference between the two different $1 options?  They are both really pick what you want, it's just a matter of when you settle on the little models?

Many thanks for any clarification!

There's truly a Jurassic Park gif for every occasion, here's one for you and me in this thread:

Edit: I'm about to head to bed, but it's finally passed the $5,000 threshold. Hoping I'm not jinxing it, but it only needs less then $700 to be funded now. Almost there now.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Sorry for the late response. That would be extremely kind. I already pledged $60 myself, after seeing that the Devonian figures have been added. Five from each period. Trust me it was very hard for me to decide, but some were definitely givens. For the most part I tried to stay away from genera I already have (or have ordered) in my collection, and mostly those that don't already have existing figures (though a few exceptions), which also another reason I worked on that huge list. Here's the ones I ultimately decided to pledge for now.

Dickinsonia
Kimberella
Spriggina
Haootia
Ausia

Paradoxides
Haplophrentis
Dinomischus
Hurdia
Laggania

Ampyx
Isotelus
Arandaspis
Condont
Aegirocassis

Thelodus
Doryaspis
Climatius
Cooksonia
Carcinosoma

Dicranurus
Walliserops
Drepanaspis
Coccosteus
Tiktaalik

Granted there's a plethora of others I am interested in, and no doubt my personal wishlist has expanded thanks to the many interesting critters this campaign has introduced me too, especially after doing some brief research on many of them. Would it be helpful to give you a list or fund limit, etc?

If I'm being honest I'm kind of desperate for these to be funded. I've been checking daily. It looks like it is finally starting to pick up, at least a little bit, possibly from some of the fine folks in this thread from the looks of it. It is nearly to $5,000 now.

To help with both avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian and avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum I picked the $1 Pick your own pledge tier to hopefully get my hands on some of these (though it must be said the game does also interest me greatly, not just these wonderful figures that were designed to accompany it). Basically put in the total for all the figures you plan on getting. If Backerkit is used (a survey platform, which is what David Silva used in the past for the Beasts of the Mesozoic figures for example), then basically what you pledge in kickstarter acts as a balance of funds you can use from the "store" in Backerkit, which is how you pick what you are interested in later (as there is no option to do that in kickstarter itself). You would also have the opportunity to add on more things then, but would need to pay afterwards when the creator locks the surveys down (this is so there is a number confirmed for production purposes). It is also the time when you give the shipping address, which you can also change up until things are pretty much shipped usually. I've funded a number of Kickstarters (mostly the Beasts of the Mesozoic action figures, but also the Paleozoic Pals, etc), so I have a bit of experience now with this sort of thing.

I just pledged. In the end I decided I would go for the all-in rate for the Pre-Cambrian and then added in a further 49 from the Cambrian.

I would dearly like to have some of these things!  I was at the Chengjiang Museum in spring last year - it would be marvellous to have some reminders. Plus I've been following the Oxford University Natural History Museum's First Animals series of wonderful lectures, which has just finished.

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin for the help. I have actually backed the BoM Ceratopsians (not a surprise given my nickname!) but this seemed a lot harder to get my head round!

I hope I have  it right. I just stuck in my total and have not submitted a list of what I want yet.

avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian Glad to be of help. On a similar note to your experience, many of the figures I have nostalgia for because of books I read as a child (which I obtained one this year, and another a couple of years ago), such as the Arandaspis, Doryaspis, Drepanaspis, etc.

Edit: These here are what I was talking about for the curious: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=4993.0

Also we are less then $600 from this being funded now. Almost there now! 28 hours remaining.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, having some sort of connection always makes these things more appealing.

I must say I would have loved to go for some of the fish too!  They would paint up really well I think. (Not that I have any talent there.). Just too much to choose from!

I shared it on Facebook. Another nearly $600 is still quite a step though. We just want one other person to pledge for museum level I suppose....

Hopefully the Forum has given it a good boost. If it's just under, can it still go ahead?

I am really trying to make sure I understand the pricing for the miniature figures...

I take it that we simply list (for ourselves, for now) by number (as indicated on the figure pictures), what figures we would want, and their associated prices? The example given isn't clear.

It's such a great variety, but budgets are what they are, so I'm trying to figure it all out with little time left!

Also...I suppose if I want the Predator base plus other figures, I just submit all of that in the Pick What You Want? Is that how this will work? O @Oammararak is this correct?

avatar_SBell @SBell It's what I did for now. Maybe what I wrote here: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=8935.msg266213#msg266213 earlier would be of help (unless you seen it already)?

Maybe someone else could chime in too?

Edit: Less then 500 from being funded now. One more pledge of $499 and this would hopefully be in the bag by the time it ends.

That's how I read it too, add up how many figures you want and then pledge that amount in the "at least 1 dollar bit."

We would then choose the figures later and pay the postage then?

I made the connection...pledged for the predator and extra figures. It's really close, so hopefully it can happen

avatar_SBell @SBell  Hello. If you want predator pledge and other minis. You should pledge on 1$ pick what you want and add all price like Predator pledge 160$ and other miniatures sample 2$ 2$ 3$ = You put total amount 167$

avatar_Crackington @Crackington  Yes. the number of miniature will ask when the end of the campaign. and the cost of shipping will charge before all goods ready to ship. Because the weight of everything will accurate again because I improve the size of all miniatures. The shipping cost I will find a cheap and good solution and have a shipping option to choose. Like register airmail, EMS, DHL, or US location I will send it to the warehouse and then ship to the local backers. Please note, I do not overcharge the shipping cost for profit.  :)

Okay, thanks, that's what I assumed. It's so close, I hope it works out

I definitely think the forum has improved its chances. If it's just under, nobody is charged, so it can't go ahead. It could theoretically be restarted later on, or funded some other way, but it can't go ahead through Kickstarter/Backerkit.

I vow that if it's funded, I won't gripe about any large theropods for an entire month. On the other hand, if it's not, I vow to gripe about large theropods every day for a month.

I put another post on instagram. I really hope it gives it the final push it needs. Hopefully other folks can do the same.

I'm going to feel so salty/upset if this isn't funded in time. It's so darn close too, but well it ends tomorrow. Still a slight bit of time left.

-Enoploura (resembles a jawless fish more? the name is used for an echinoderm, museum tier)

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Enoploura is an echinoderm, but it really does look a little like a jawless fish. I wonder if the figure is based on this reconstruction: http://paleontology.sakura.ne.jp/enopuroura.html
