Early dinosaur footprint discovered on a Welsh beach

The footprint was made about 220 million years ago and is speculated to be from a Coelophysis-like animal.  Makes me wonder if this is evidence of the genus in Europe as well as North America and Africa, although of course without bones it's impossible to say.  But it's certainly a lesson to keep your eyes peeled at all times when walking on fossil beaches!

Very interesting. A small theropod from around that time period was found in Penarth, perhaps it's from that?

Wasn't Dracoraptor Early Jurassic rather than Triassic?
