Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

I've just reviewed Dean Lomax's pop-up book "Prehistoric Pets", and I'm pretty much in love with it. It's bright and colorful illustrations are eye-catching even without the pop-up feature, and the book's premise makes a great hook. Who wouldn't be fascinated to learn that their Guinea Pig once had a bull-sized relative? (Josephoartigasia, FYI.) Lomax packs some good paleo facts into this book as well, and while it's not explicitly about evolution and taxonomy, he inextricably links those topics to the book's subjects, instilling curiousity in readers to learn more about these topics.

Here a few previews from the book, with some models posing with their appropriate page:

Looks like a lovely book and those fish and feline models are very realistic  ;)

Wasn't aware of a TV show E @enisontradition, must have been good if at the same standard as the book. Great concept to introduce kids to paleontology.
