I hate you, Collect Jurassic....

Happy (Not really) April fools...

GojiraGuy1954

I really don't think popular news outlets should make april fools jokes
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

Agree. Plus, this isn't even a good joke. It's not funny, witty or clever in any way.

suspsy

I rather loathe April Fool's Day and refuse to partake in any pranks. And this particular one is not even funny. There's no absurdity or wit to it; it's just teasing something that a great many collectors would probably snap up in a heartbeat.

*Cue JP Fans whining about Mattel first announcing and then cancelling the visitor center.*
Gien all the stuff I've read from them, that would not suprise me.

Anyways, wasn't there an Ultimate Pyroraptor listed somwhere? Maybe that one will be based on the final design.

So the "least likely to be kept MOC" assortiment gets a full packaging, blister and all.

Edit: Indominus and Carnotaurus join the Micro Collection

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

So one of the dudes in my instagram group chat got the first wave of mini figures already:

Primeval12

I got some at Target. Not Register locked! I have the Quetz, Gallimimus, Iguanadon, and Baryonyx. I love how the Iggy and Berry are packaged together because they lived together IRL. I also love the new plastic, very bendy. The Quetz is my favorite so far because of the color and detail. Solid job, Mattel.

Edit:
How is the size of the super colossal Indominus to the super colossal T Rex? I ask because from a review I watched, T Rex seems to be a bit bigger, which is odd.
Mosasurus on Jurassic Mainframe and JPToys
Angurius on TohoKingdom

I love all the Jurassic movies, plus Disney's Dinosaur

trex might look longer? The Indominus has a really short tail and undersized body for the huge size of the head

A guy in my instagram group chat (SuperSpinosaur) just found this set and someone else dropped it over to Collect Jurassic (edit: he deleted it).

Guess it explains that smaller Carnotaurus leaked earlier. Also street dated. The Tembo set is not though. No price just yet.

Edit: That smaller Carnotaurus is probably meant to be the juvenile in that BioSyn size chart that dropped yesterday. I posted it in the Dominion thread already.

Also this means we now have Ghost, Red, and Panthera. Just need Tiger left to finish off their squad. That said, poor Panthera is a bit on the yellow side, and once again another crouching mold.

Carnoking

Well I guess now we're in for a dozen crouching atrociraptor repaints over the next few years. I wonder how many it'll take to get the color right this time...

Carnoking

Griping aside, I'm always down for another Carnotaurus! If those markings were a bit more red then this could have been a dope Demon homage. Still, I bet the smaller size let's it scale a bit better alongside the rexes. I always thought the other molds were a little too big.

Faelrin

It definitely is closer in size to the real animal, compared with the previous releases. I still hope for a larger version with this coloration though, since the one in the trailer was nearly as big as the Allosaurus.

How's everyone getting a hold of these early? Just went to target and got stopped by the "cannot sell until 4/17 message on the self serve.

What's another huge sauropod on my bed right, lol? Both of these are looking great. Can't wait.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Looks like they took the digital file for the Apatosaurus and just reskinned it.  It is all new just the same basic design. Head looks nice, but the neck seems way too short for the film version.

That Colossal Giga..for the most detailed figure line they have they really messed up the head. It doesn't look like the film version at all. More like a retooled Indominus Rex.  The teeth are the first clue then the width of the head. sigh.  Guess I'll hope for more with a Nanmu or WDragon release.

Gwangi

The Dreadnoughtus has a significantly better head sculpt that the Apatosaurus. It's so hard to say no to these giant sauropod toys but they're painful to display.

Time to buy a shed I guess..I'm getting a bit full up here to be honest.

ItsTwentyBelow

Oh man that young Carnotaurus + Atrociraptors set with Owen is too cool!

This definitely looks like a tribute to the Jurassic Park Series II Carnotaurus "Demon" figure. Definitely getting this set the second I see it. I never had that figure as a kid but very much wished for it.

It may be closer in size to an actual Carnotaurus, but this is Jurassic Park! It will be a juvenile next to the Camp Cretaceous "Toro" figure in my collection.
