I had a chance to gather all my WWD figures today, I think this is the complete set:

Still missing the illusive Ornithocheirus :( Does anyone here actually have it?

Thagirion

Oh wow! I didn't know they made toys of this. Ha, I want the liopleurodon. Great, just when my list had gotten shorter now I'll be adding more to it.  Hehe, well it's good too. I enjoy the hunt.  Are all these rare, can they be found locally?  Unfortunately I think all the cool science stores in my town are gone.

The WWD's have a notorious reputation for being extremely rare. And I kinda now want the postosuchus.

These are pictures of former member Vlad Petnicki (Bucketfoot).  They are the only ones I know of.  I believe he sold this.  I think he may have had some other pictures but they were removed from the old DTF ver. 1.

Should mention that this was only available with a particular magazine subscription (the others were sold through retailers) and as such is almost impossible to find. And if it does show up, could command a very high price.

Only the Ophtalmosaurus, Liopleurodon and Leallynosaura. The others pop up very frequently on the British Ebay. I got them fairly easily, didn´t have to pay an arm and leg.

Got a complete set of these. Now for that Ornithocheirus... and anyone know whether there´s truth in the rumours about a second Iguanodon having been planned for this line

There was a much larger Series 2 planned overall, but only the Opthalmosaurus and Liopleurodon got released.  The Postosuchus can also be tougher to get, mostly becuase everyone wants it (the Safari is better though).

And I used to have almost all (no Ankylosaurus, no Iguanodon) and sold most of them because, well, I didn't really like them. Too static.

But I kept the non-dinos of course.

Dang that's a pretty pterosaur ... too bad they didn't sell it - but where are the teeth ?

That WWD Iguanodon is my favorite WWD figure - yeah, I know about the feet, and the lack of a clear spike on the thumb - but the rest of the figure is just superb - right down to the paint job.  The Trex and Torosaurus are the most disappointing ... the first is too small with not enough detail (unlike the superb Allosaurus); the second one, well, the Toro just doesn't LOOK right -certainly not like the CGI versions ...

ZoPteryx

As far as static figures go, I think these are the best!  It's a shame more weren't released.  I was actually really hoping Planet Dinosaur would release similar figures, but it's looking like they're not. :(

Brontozaurus

I've got the Tyrannosaurus, Torosaurus, and Utahraptor. Not sure where the Leallynasaura went.

The Collecta Ornithocheirus is pretty similar to the WWD one. It wouldn't be too hard to repaint it into a facsimile of the WWD toy.

The Leaellynosaura came in the same box as the Utahraptor, so the rarity of the former must be an artefact of its small size. I guess it was easier to lose (in the bottom of a tub of lego, for example).

ITewan

I only have 4 of them. The only other discontinued brand I have is the Anatotitan from Safari.ltd. :)

Iguanodon and Polacanthus :)

Leaellynasaura(It became all so special once I found out it was rare :D )

Torosaurus

I really want the Ankylosaurus! XD
im a lil tired and a lil hungry

Correct. It's basically as not-so-rare as the Utahraptor, but people kept misplacing it, so you find a lot less Leallynosaura's than you'll find Utahraptors today. Of course, this should not be the case in any serious dinosaur toy collector's home, eh?  :)

There was supposed to be an American Iguanodon but since the European Iguanodon was the worst selling it did not go forward.  They look static now but at the time of release they were good looking.  The molds still exist and a new owner has them after Toyway went under.  TS Toys did some hollow vinyl WWD figures that were very compatible.
You can never have too many dinosaurs

Ichthyosaur

I have the Polacanthus, Postosuchus, Stegosaurus, Utahraptor/Leaellynasaura, Ankylosaurus, Iguanodon, and Liopleurodon in unopened packages.  All have mint packaging except for 2.....the Polacanthus and Utahraptor/Leaellynasaura which have some creases and dents to the cardbacks and bubble due to some really careless packing by the seller I bought them from.  I would still like to get a mint on card Torosaurus and Ophthalmosaurus someday.  I've had several chances to get the Toro over the years but passed.  I've never seen a carded Ophthalmosaurus though.  Does anyone on here have an unopened one they could post some photos of?....

OMG, you have a Liopleurodon, I am looking it. You are a lucky person  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?
