Hallo everybody,

My  name is Bernhard, I'm from Bonn/Germany. So far I've not really been interested in dinosaurs, but on  my  fare-well party  (I'm just retired) I got a stegosaur toy and a card "You're extinct". And so  it  began...

Meanwhile I own a dozen models  (don 't yet dare to call it a collection) and I intend to collect specimens of every family, maybe genus. Preferred schlecht will be  1:30 - 1:40.

Pictures will follow ...

Greetings,
Bernhard

Hello and welcome to the forum, Bernhard :)

Nice joke, your colleagues did on you and a nice starter for a collector's career,... may you share which stegosaur toy it was?

Hello and very welcome to the DTF, Bernhard!

A very cool and absolute extraordinary way to find an interest in dinosaurs and the foundation of a collection!
But, every collection starts with a few items, step by step growing!

Congrats to your pension time, a beginning of a new part of your life and to your new dinosaur hobby!
Have a nice time here under other dinosaur enthusiasts!

Happy dinosaur collecting!

Nice to see pictures here in future of your just started dino collection and the "foundation stegosaurus"!

Welcome, Bernhard! Not to worry, the dinosaurs aren't actually extinct either (since there are still rather a lot of birds), so let's hope your retirement is, in similar fashion, the start of a new era :)

Stego was made  bei Schleich- Conquering the Earth. And so I realized that they had nothing in common with those mono-colored rubbery abominations of my youth ...

avatar_Patrx @Patrx:
I  hope so, too. Well, I can't fly, but ostriches can't either ...

Mythos autofunction only speaks german, so of course I meant  "scale"   :)
