I was under the impression that Elasmotherium had a boss-like structure rather than a massive horn?

The base sculpt is re-used from Cooper's Paleocraft model kit line. While I'm not certain of the release date of that kit, I think it was before the Elasmotherium study that proposed a boss in place of the horn.

Anybody know what those birds are supposed to be? I'd guess they're the work of Kaibutsuya rather than Cooper.

Yes.
I have this model in my collection.
Of course, it's not from Star Ace.
It was a resin kit from Sean Cooper.
I bought it on 2019 (assembled and painted by Michael Kampa).
The figure was already available on 2015 as a raw kit.

Thanks for the confirmation, @RobinGoodfellow, I knew I'd seen a build-up of that somewhere. The Elasmotherium study Flaffy is referring to is only from last year!

Most of "Wonders of the Wild" figures are Sean Cooper' classics, from his resin kits: Mammoth (v1), Dunkleosteus, Concavenator, Tyrannosaurus, Elasmotherium.
All of these are available as resin kits as well.
Buying them from Star Ace is a good way, for resin collectors, to have Sean' classics already finished and with a nice price.

I bought the first release in color with a car it's crushing..not really looking to double dip again for a boxcar.  XPlus needs to give us a couple more dinosaurs.

I'm still kicking myself for buying the Rhedosaurus without the car. I added an NYPD car model from the movie's time frame. but it needs a cop with a shotgun to complete it.
