It doesn't look anywhere near as masterful as Prehistoric Planet, but it also looks head, shoulders, and arse above Jurassic World. I'll watch it if I can.

Still haven't seen Prehistoric Planet, it needs a DVD/Bluray release.

Fry certainly isn't the first person that springs to my mind for fronting a dinosaur programme.  Still, I'm sure I'll find a bit of spare time to dip into it.

A lot of those sequences, notably the Titanosaurs in the desert, are stock footage from shutterstock. Really? :(

Stephen Fry is the hook for me here, not the dinosaurs. That's probably not a good sign.

This will probably never happen, since it is developed by and for a streaming service.

Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

The movie looks bad but at least it is not a documentary with Ark: Survival Evolved models in it

Literally clips from ARK: Survival Evolved! And almost certainly not licensed.

Seriously? Wow. They must have blown their budget on getting Stephen Fry.

I'm somewhat embarrassed for him, seeing him interact with dinosaurs and an environment that are clearly not there. Nigel Marven did it better 20 years ago.

Obviously, DSF doesn't look as good as PhP. That said, I do like how this shot looks. It reminds me of MPM's dino diorama ( https://www.mpm.edu/plan-visit/exhibitions/permanent-exhibits/first-floor-exhibits/third-planet ):

*edit: They do mention Nyasasaurus, though there's still much to complain about (the ARK models, banshee Allosaurus, that Allosaurus skull and musculature reconstruction, etc). That said, the information isn't bad at all (if a little basic), so it's no Clash of the Dinosaurs or Jurassic Fight Club (yet).

The lighting really sells this shot; bright foreground lighting with the rex in the shadowy background lends nice atmosphere to the shot and obscures any potential problems with the model's texturing or placement in the scene.
Will it look that good in motion, though, I wonder?

It had the older Ark Stegosaurus model as well apparently, not just the Ark Titanosaur. I wonder if anyone pointed it out to Wildcard or in one of the Ark communities?

Anyways here's a review roasting this:

Sounds like the worst documentary in recent memory.
