Sumeru-Studio is going to release a male counterpart for Regina mundi - 1:18 Tyrannosaurus rex AMNH 5027, sculpted by David Krentz.
 Here are the first pics:

Gosh I wish I wasn't so against anything bigger than ~1/25... This model is representing one of my favorite specimens of Tyrannosaurus...

avatar_postsaurischian @postsaurischian do you plan to acquire this one? I know you have that beautiful Sue made by Krentz.

I wish I had the money and space to acquire this one as well. But since I have Regina mundi and the first Sideshow model, I can't justify another big Tyrannosaurus :( .
Although I think this one is absolutely awesome (the head sculpt alone) and that David Krentz is unbeatable - especially when it comes to theropod sculpting (design).

I'm having the same problem, it looks good so far from what I see, the pose and base, the whole picture needs to sell it too. I have so many tyrannosaurs already too..all the Sideshow ones, Rex Mundi, Regina, Shane's Rex, so many JP replicas, toys..Probably the one dinosaur I have the most of..the King of my collection certainly in terms of volume.

Understandable for the both of you.
I wouldn't know where to put this beast either...

Seems to me that Krentz has been pumping out these constant models now? We have the Triceratops going up for preorder in June, right? Wonder what his next genus will be.

Dyscrasia

Just the head sculpt alone looks absolutely stunning.
Due to space (and financial) issues, getting this will be a pipe dream, and I don't even have Regina mundi for the same reason.

Fortunately, I was able to get the Sideshow Krentz T. rex maquette back when it was available on pre-order, and is still my favorite T. rex model I have in my collection.

His Triceratops is out already, the one with the little birds that ride on it? Mine came in last year. It's waiting til I can send it out to be built properly as I just haven't time.

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Woopssss!

I was looking at his instagram page and noticed a post regarding the preorder for the Triceratops saying "June" but did not look at the year, which was 2022 not 2023.

Thank you for the correction!

No worries. I thought maybe, just maybe I had missed something... lol

LanaTimeShop just revealed this.

So LanaTimeShop on this instagram post say the presale will be soon. However, it appears that they show to be sold out on the deposit for the 1/35 scale but not the 1/18? Again, kind of confused as to why they said the presale will be soon but shows that they're already out of stock on the 1/35?

I contacted DansDinosaurs to see what I can do to get my hands on the 1/35. Because I am in love with this model.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I like the head sculpt but not sure about the body. I already own 4 Krentz Rexes.

To me, I have so much more of an issue with the posture. Seems very reliant on that one leg given that it is rearing up and making a step.

Regardless if I have this issue, I would still like to finally get the chance to own a Krentz Tyrannosaurus, especially given the fact there will be 1/35 scale option.

DansDinosaurs contacted me back and said there will be more information soon from the manufacturer, so I guess I will soon find out whether or not this will be in my hands in the futurr >:D

Pachyrhinosaurus

I won't be getting this one due to the international shipping, but I'm excited to see it's offered in 1/35. Krentz posted a video on Facebook a few months ago with some test prints for 1/35 Regina Mundi and Uncle Beazley, so hopefully they're still in the works.

Just placed a deposit down on DansDinosaurs for this beauty.

Ugh... like I don't have enough Tyrannosaurus models already...

CARN0TAURUS

Interesting, the smaller sculpt isn't just a miniaturized version of the large one.  It's mouth closed and the large one has it slightly opened...I wonder why they are different sculpts?  if this was designed on a computer can't they just scale down the sculpt for 3D printing?  seems harder to redo the whole sculpt, IDK...

they are both stunning...

I think it was a smart move on Krentz part to resculpt the 1/35 scale model. I am going to assume the head is one piece then, and if the mouth was to be replicated as the 1/18, it would be a pain for artist to paint followed by the glaring issue of an unpainted gap. Even if it is 1/35 scale, it would be an issue. I am glad that Krentz went this route as it is a high end piece afterall.

I actually have a 1:35 maybe 1:40?  scale Krentz Rex diorama I'm selling.

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon that model and diorama  is lovely. I recall that being a very desirable model at the time I was just a viewer of this forum, not a member funny enough.

Any idea on the price of that model now?
Reminds me of the Scotty 1/35 Tyrannosaurus model. It sold out pretty quickly and is now desirable amongst many.

I haven't really seen any for sale to base a cost off of. So I'm just asking what the whole diorama cost me. 350.00 or best offer.

It's part of the Saurozoic Collection. All these models are in real 1:40 ;) .
