Thank you for those techniques with the plant foliage avatar_Over9K @Over9K I guess I now have to do this project with my display this weekend!

Here is the progress that I forgot to show yesterday, Pre-wash + detail:

Here it is finished, just drying out the mouth for now:

I'll share the high quality images when he post them.

That's looking beautiful already!

Nice! I get plants from Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Amazon and pet stores. They're mostly for fake flower arranging, some of it is for gaming/model railroading, and some of it is aquarium stuff. I also have a Bonsai tree that I put on an Apoxie base, turning it into a 1/35 scale Joshua tree. Have fun with it!

Getting back on topic...

Has anyone considered having some feathers added to anything? Bravo does beautiful feathers...

Absolutely! Since we're kind of adding more photos of figures with other enhancements, I'll be changing the thread title to "PNSO customs & more"

Now, I noticed we forgot about another artist on instagram who has done plenty of amazing customs, including PNSO's with lips and other various modifications made to them. Here is an artist who goes by gex_pdroche on instagram, his name being Raúl Pedroche:

I especially like his removal of the spikes across the Acrocanthosaurus. Major improvement, in my opinion.

Here are more customs by dinosaur_models_artworks:

I've noticed that Bravo Models does not always post the finished end results. I haven't checked out his facebook page, but otherwise I am always curious about these projects.

Halichoeres

Quote from: Faelrin on July 18, 2023, 01:08:01 AMavatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres That's something I want to see as well, such as with their recent Lingwulong.

I'm a little surprised not to see that, honestly, because we're not likely to see another Lingwulong soon, but a tyrannosaur with lips from some company or other is inevitable.

Quote from: SidB on July 17, 2023, 04:47:43 PMBTW, avatar_Bread @Bread , I'm having a major access issue via Instagram , are Bravo accessible otherwise? Are they a U.S. company or overseas?
Instagram has been very buggy for me lately. This app has been known to have spontaneous down time and accessing issues. I'd try again now or later today.

Bravo Models, from what I can see, so far only uses instagram. He is an artist in Mexico.

I'd be happy to ask him for you if you are interested in having a custom done by him via email. Just let me know S @SidB
That's gracious of you, avatar_Bread @Bread . I'm waiting to see how the W-Dragon rex turns out and decide. Should be within 2-3 weeks.
Thanks for the offer, avatar_Bread @Bread , would you inquire with him for me, if email communication would be a possibility. Instagram continues to be a no-go zone for me!

S @SidB he's available by facebook as well if you'd like to try that.

Before I contact him for you, message me to confirm please, thank you!

Oh snap... I hadn't noticed gex was doing lips too! I'm not ashamed to admit that I have been trying to learn paint techniques by totally biting gex's colorways. Imitate the best, I always say...

That may be the patrons wishing their projects kept confidential after a certain point, or he just moves so fast he doesn't have time to come back and update.

If anyone is curious, PNSO's Lythronax with lips and new colorscheme (not finished):

Super happy with this one. I enjoy these smaller Tyrannosaurs, and hopefully if PNSO makes more they'll be some feathers added especially to the smaller ones.

Edit: Almost forgot, this is taken and done by dinosaur_models_artworks

I've always enjoyed Gex's work too. I plan to have him do some repaints and modifications to some PNSO models down the road, but at the moment I am slowing down on acquiring customs as Fall approaches.

True, never thought about it that way. I believe dinosaur_models_artworks too has this from time to time but I notice he shares WAY more than Bravo Models. These two seem to always be busy regardless, and I am happy to see that. They deserve the appreciation for their work and it shows by their output!

Bravo Models just posted this commission. All customer's choice. And if I am correct, this is still perfectly plausible due to the placement of feathers?

Looks amazing!

Jose S.M.

That's a very nice looking custom!the lips and feathers look great.

Yes, that's true. That's the most probable location of feathers in Tyrannosaurus rex and yes, they should look as filaments, not true feathers.

As this "model" shows in this magnific video of Paleos. Don't miss it, he covers everything about that:

Interesting. Thank you for that link and informative video.

Typically I don't care for a large Tyrannosaur to be feathered. But I think with this video and model, it goes to show that it's plausible, even if I am still leaning towards no feathers at all.
