Quote from: Faelrin on November 07, 2023, 04:18:41 AMYeah that would have been nice, but at least the three heads is something.

I guess if I'm really into it I could cut and sculpt them to change it up a bit..we'll see.

I saw this July 29 photo of a Star Ace Harryhausen Hydra on Star Ace Facebook with the caption, "Hydra & Griffin are coming..."

Does anyone know if the Hydra is a kit or preassembled?

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm hoping it 's a complete painted piece. I haven't seen it go up for preorder yet.

BLADE-OF-THE-MOON:

I was thinking somebody had announced they were releasing a Hydra kit, but I'm not sure.

I hope Star Ace's Hydra is not a kit.

Same here, though it's not a total deal breaker, I can build kits and I do know some great artists.

So after having a handful of Schleichs and lots of CollectAs and Jurassic World Dominion merch, my nearest local toy shop just a new stock of figures; Safari ltd figures. As well as modern-day animals and some dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, there were also mythical creatures. There was Unicorn, Cerberus (three-headed dog), Griffin (Half eagle half lion), Phoenix (Fire bird), Pegasus and some Dragons. I've started a develop a liking for fantastical creatures. Ended up getting the Pegasus and Glow in the dark Snow Dragon;

I also got two of the 2007 Raptors;

Though inaccurate, I've always liked this sculpt very much and like how they look like JP Raptors.

Believe it or not, these are my first Safari Ltd figures. Never came across Safari ltd figures physically before.

Here's my small collection of fantastical creatures for the moment, also including the Schleich Eldrador Ice Wolf;

Here's the current stock of figures at my nearest local toy shop (CollectAs and Safari Ltd) not including the Jurassic World Dominion merch there);

What about you? Do you collect Mythical/ Fantastical creature figures?

So I saw that the white William is delayed to 2024 now. I mean I guess that works for me. I need to save up funds for a while.

Also not really pertaining to this thread, but not sure where else to put it really. I wanted to share that there's some articulated reindeer action figures up for pre-order over on BBTS. From the same company that produced Monster Force. It seems if they don't get the required pre-orders needed, the figures won't be produced. Estimated shipping date is early 2025. Maybe someone here could share this over on the Animal Toy Forum in case folks over there would be interested in them? There's different colors, an optional saddle, and a head pack. They are Christmas themed, but yeah I think it is still cool to see something like this, since animals rarely have gotten decent action figures in recent years (like on hand I can think of the G I Joe wolves, and the Jumanji sets as well).

I bought the Father Christmas figure from Four Horseman, really hoped these would scale with him but alas they are too small, even the Safari figures are too little for him.

Here's NECA's Frankenstein accessory.

I bought it, just haven't opened it yet due to lack of space.  I'll have to think on this one, I haven't bought any of the GID figures yet either. I do want the Frankenstein "throne" when they release it.

Faelrin

Not a monster, but I got to see this bear at Legions Con this past November, so I'm stoked it's up for pre-order now. 6 inch/1/12 scale so will be in scale with the upcoming Cyberzoic 1/12 scale Smilodon (and maybe Rebor's, and their new dire wolves). BBTS mentions the saddle is a separate piece too, and will have alternate heads.

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/264194

Also a little update on the Naughty or Nice Reindeers (and goat) I shared earlier still have yet to meet their goal, but they are almost there. Really hoping they can get the pre-orders needed to do so. Currently seem to have between 2250 and 3000 pre-orders in (3000 is the goal).

It looks cool and big too. I thought about getting it to use in dios with me werewolf pack. I just don't know about the cost and wait.

Somehow I missed this Mythic Legions minotaur earlier.

Kind of bummed I just found out I missed out on their 1/12 Anubis, but this Horus looks great. Not sure which color I would prefer though. It seems they have these and more in 1/6 scale as well.

That's pretty cool. I didn't know there was an Anubis either though it looks to be more expensive : https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/163582?o=4

That one would have been my preference.

This was the 1/12 scale one, but it didn't come in that gorgeous black and silver color that 1/6 version comes in as far as I can tell. Still very nice though. And sold out everywhere that I could find. Edit: Well this site seems to have it in stock: https://www.monkeydepot.com/TBLeague_1_12th_Anubis_Guardian_of_The_Underworld_p/pc0201.htm

New sites always come with a bit of a challenge for me as I have to "vet " them.  Since ordering that alternate color scheme of William I've not heard anything from that site.

Faelrin

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon I do the same just to be on the safe side.

If you mean the white William on bombusbee it seems it has been delayed to this month or so. I'm not in any rush (need to save up again), but it would be nice to know why there's such a delay on it.
