I hope they announce something new even if it's just one new figure. Disney is part of Haulathon coming up on the 12th. One of those will be Gargoyles but Dinosaurs might be in there too.

I wonder... if they were to make Fran and Charlene, would the sculpts be based on the original versions of those characters, or the more frequently used ones from the later seasons?

I would hope later seasons. They were more frequently used than the S1 models. Those had limited facial expressions. They could do an alternate head for them which would essentially let you do both.  Charlene would need a replaceable tail too lol

Charlene has less iconic accessory potential than some of the rest of the cast, aside from clothing items like that one living scarf, so i'd hope she might come with a minfigure of Stan the Bunch-Beetle and maybe a Pangean Globe to allude to her idea of the earth being round on top of that

That's true. She didn't have a lot of stories that totally focused on her that were as memorable as say Robbie or maybe that's just me being a teenage boy and relating more to him.  She did have the trained humans too but that would be a lot of accessories lol  They could almost pack her with her friend Mindy as a set as her best friend was almost as much of an accessory as anything she wore or did    and I just want more figures

If they do a Chow, they need to pack in Cabby too. Both the Cookie Creature and the Caveman Cookie came with Baby, so I have hope. Perhaps there could be a Francois Poupon model, that annoying bird exchange student that took Charlene's place in the family.

Tim Curry plays the Dinosaur Devil as well, doesn't he? From the Fernhill Mug episode? I heard he plays a lot of other characters in Dinosaurs.

Neca has a slow first quarter, items I preordered from the Monster line last October still haven't shipped. I feel like April is a jumping off point, I've had a bunch of other preorders coming in now, several hit this week alone.   Hopefully they start announcing some new preorders.  Any idea what the Predator was? I'm pretty picky about which Aliens and Predators I pick up.. I have maybe 4? lol

At least hope we get the main characters from Dinosaurs. Yes I'd love them all even the minor characters. They get a lot of use of of sculpts with the line as Henson same thing in the show. Just keep adding new clothes, glasses, ect..

The Predator is a re-deco of the "Feral Predator" from Prey, done in translucent plastic with blood spattering to represent the scene where it defeats a brown bear and holds it over its head with the blood rendering its invisible form "visible". Neat idea, cool effect, but a pretty niche figure.

NECA (and a lot of action figure toylines these days) depend a lot on re-use, and with the way Dinosaurs re-used specific puppets, there's a ton of potential if they were to go deep into the background characters since, as you said, a lot of them utilized the same 3 or 4 puppets with different outfits. But if the line already has niche appeal, it can be a hard sell to go that deep into the characters.

I feel like, if nothing else, we will at least get a WeSaySo Earl with construction hat and shirt, since that could be done with minimal new sculpting.

There are a lot of interesting characters to mine (I'd love a Spike or a Roy). I just hope there's enough demand to sustain it.

Yeah a Wesayso Earl would be uber easy to do. Toss in his lunch pail, maybe Rizzick sp? Would be great to repack him with Roy charge about 59.99?

I'd love a Spike and Robbie. Spike was a great original character.

That's true , they did cloth with the Gremlins accessory pack to give us gremlins we otherwise wouldn't get.  I think a new head or two would be good.  we need his scared face to go with Richfield lol  Little dios of them in the woods pushing over trees would be great to make. I was tempted to build the house to go with these but I would like more of the cast to make it worthwhile first.

I have it on dvd and Disney+ so I watch one here and there usually at night when I come in. The messages they are getting across are surprisingly pertinent still.  Watch the election episode..I think it's called And the Winner is.. ,  with our political climate it pretty much summed it all up.

I tend to agree that a WeSaySo Earl would probably have been a better variant. Personally I barely remember Captain Impressive (haven't gotten there yet with my rewatch) whereas Earl's WeSaySo outfit appears in almost every episode.

I expect Dinosaurs related posts to get fewer likes than say, a TMNT related post, as there is definitely a much bigger fanbase there.

NECA is known for doing "labors of love" now and then that they don't always (at least, according to them) make a profit on, so maybe this is one of those properties.
