Quote from: thomasw100 on October 08, 2024, 05:33:04 AMIn all fairness, Haolonggood has served collectors of herbivore dinosaurs very well, so a few theropods would be in order. My only concern would be that the recent surprise releases could indicate they may have binned the plans for the remaining genera that were shown in the catalogue. And we may be even further away from any release of one of the two large sauropods (Brachiosaurus? and Argentinosaurus?). But who knows. Maybe they will finish the year with something big.

Our dreams came true. I must find a way to get this to my country but i doesn't matter now. It exists. Finally.

Thanks for clarification. However, Haolonggood should then be prepared that quite a number of people will not take this well. It will clearly have a negative effect on their perception of Haolonggood.

To motivate people to buy an expensive product by giving away some extras such as a base, cards and posters is one thing and perfectly OK. But to make the figure of a species that many people were waiting for and that has been shown in the catalogue already exclusive only for purchase with the most expensive flagship product is another thing.

I would have purchased the Argentinosaurus anyway with or without any gifts just because it promises to be a great figure and because sauropods are my favorite group of dinosaurs. But I feel bad for people who are not able to afford this rather expensive product and who will now feel even more frustrated and marginalized because they will not have a chance to get the Huayangosaurus as well. Haolonggood basically punishes the people who have a tight budget.

My suggestion would be that Haolonggood reconsiders this decision and maybe would make this paint variant of the Huayangosaurus exclusive but then re-releases this with different paint designs as a regular figure.

I was hoping for Brachiosaurus to be released first.
I'm worried the Argentinosaurus gets all the attention, and HLG thinks Brachiosaurus is not needed anymore  :'(

I think they might make Brachiosaurus even better quality than Argentinosaurus. It'll be more affordable than Argentinosaurus and more far more famous dinosaur. Like how they made Triceratops whole another level.

Yes yes you are right, it will come after and might benefits from what they learned with previous models, smaller and more afforsable, so easier to sell.
I'm just like an impatient child right now  ;D

Maybe there will be another huge surprise, like one of the large diplodocids, for example Supersaurus or Barosaurus.

Where will we be able to pre-order the Argentinosaurus with the Huayangosaurus extra? (I'm in the US)

Incredibly disappointing to hear the Huayangosaurus will only be a preorder exclusive.

I would really suggest reconsidering this, you got people very excited for this model when you showed it off in your catalog, so having it exclusive honestly feels like a betrayal. It definitely harms your reputation severely.

I understand everyone's feelings, and I will negotiate with the company. The current plan is unlikely to change. But I will try some methods and I hope everyone understands. Mainly because it is too small and the price is not easy to determine.

Primeval12

That's VERY disappointing about the Huayangosaurus. I'm hoping that's not the fate for the other dinosaurs left... :(

Thank you for invariably being helpful and considerate of your customers. It is truly what sets HLG apart from other companies, and i think I speak for most of us when I say we are grateful for your support and cooperation .

I have to say Haolonggood's Argentinosaurus is probably the ultimate dinosaur toy!  I will not be getting it though, it's a very space-consuming figure of a species I don't want to have.  So if the Huayangosaurus is only available with it, I think I won't get it either.  I will say I think it's a better companion to a large figure than those unpainted pterosaurs.  The Haolonggood playing cards are a great idea, but they too seem to be only available with the Argentinosaurus.

If the Huayangosaurus is only available with the Argentinosaurus because of how small the Huayangosaurus is, I guess Haolonggood won't make Kentrosaurus or anything smaller available on their own too...

V @vampiredesign I appreciate you being so helpful. :)

Turkeysaurus

With 1/35 Argentinosaurus , Haolonggood takes the lead from PNSO for being my favorite company.

suspsy

I'm also disappointed about the Huayangosaurus, but I'll be fine if it never becomes available on its own. But I do hope Haolonggood does at least one  stegosaur for individual sale next year.

Hesperosaurus would be keen.

Don't worry guys, I bet some stores will sell Huayangosaurus seperately at aliexpress.

Gwangi

Disappointed about the Huayangosaurus since I won't be getting Argentinosaurus. At least I have Kaiyodo's!

obviously i can only speak for myself here, but i would be happy to overpay a bit relative to the figure's size if the alternative is not being able to get it at all. i think i'm not alone in that the argentinosaurus is most likely going to be out of my budget and size constraints, and it's disappointing that this would render me unable to acquire an entirely different species. that said, your communication and consideration are much appreciated!

I was thinking exactly the same. They should just give this a small figure surcharge or just give it a price similar to some of the recent small to medium sized figures that were in the range between 16 and 20 USD. I am sure people would buy the Huayangosaurus at this price point.
