Hey guys finally have some time to share some of my dinosaur collections from David Krentz. I do not quite remember the exact time but I think it is around 2020 when I first encountered his Tyrannosaurus sculpture Regina Mundi. This man is the reason why I begin collecting kits. And it was much later until I knew he was involved in a movie that really meant something to me at my high school age. (John Carter and yeah I know what some people might say.)

My first dinosaur kit from Krentz is of course Regina Mundi and it remains to be my favorite till today. Here are some photos of my Regina taken by a talented painting artist named Sen Ye. Hope you guys like it.

My little one seems to be curious about this creature.

It will never be a complete story of T.rex without Triceratops. David sculpt his Triceratops Uncle Beazley based on Jonathan Banks and it worked. The Trike seems to be invincible. It took my another artist friend days to do the clean-up kinda stuff and also the build-up work. And here it comes nice and neat.

One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

After several years David sculpted another T.rex named Reg as an potential mate of Regina. I bought both the 1/18 and 1/35 scales. Just like he sculpted Regina based on "SUE", the new one was created based on the AMNH 5027 which also serves as an reference of the Jurassic Park rex. Here are some photos of my Reg taken by the build-up artist.

What could be even worse than facing one T.rex? Uncle Beazley has something to say about this.

I'm pretty sure I climbed the Uncle Beazley statue in DC when I was a kid. They don't let you do that anymore. Krentz's sculpture is an excellent homage.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

On our family trip there in 1978 my little sister got stuck behind Uncle Beazley's frill so badly, it took DCFD and National Park Rangers to get her unstuck. To this day she despises Triceratops. Looking back, it's amazing that we were just allowed free reign over that poor fiberglass statue.

BTW, he's not there anymore. In the md-1990's they moved him to the National Zoo, gave him a cleaning and a paint job and put him near the rhinos. He was restored again in the 2010's and moved to a dedicated 'Dinosaur Garden'.
