Hello !

I've finally completed Sen Sen's river fabulous scene !

For those who don't know it, it's a set created by SenSen (a famous Chinese sculptor) and released between 2022 and 2023. It consists of 6 elements recreating a migration scene with several dinosaur species crossing a river, analogous to what can be seen in East Africa today.

In this scene we have: Zuul crurivastator, Troodon, Avaceratops, Medusaceratops, and Diabloceratops. It is supposed to represent the diversity of dinosaurs from the Judith River Formation (Montana) dating from the Campanian period (between 79 and 75.3 myr).
(I don't know if everything is totally coherent, however, between these species and if they were all able to live together in this place at this time?)

We imagine these animals terrified by the water, where a giant crocodile could appear at any moment, but also by the irruption of a herd of troodon, sowing panic on the riverside. The animals struggle to find their way back to safety.

It's my favorite diorama, along with the Triassic one on page 3, which also features animals crossing a river.

Last week, I was finally able to visit my friend Ben Van Steenberge (BVS artwork) in Belgium (a 4-hour drive from my home) to pick up a LOT of pieces that had been sitting in paint at his place, some for over 2 years!

Here are a few of them:

Dilophosaurus, sculpted by Chen Lian Xin.

I wanted the tree trunk to be heavily covered with vegetation, to give it a "jungle" feel.

This is gorgeous. Maybe the best dilo sculpt I have seen.

Thank you  ^-^
I think Sideshow's dilophosaurus are still great! There are still some I'm looking for: the dilophosaurus by Tison Zhang or those by Linghu art studio.

BrontoScorpio

This may well cause a heart attack to the cleaning lady when she comes every week ...
It looks like it is going to jump out completely from out of the water in just a moment ...

and just a small note -
You are using PNG files of about 5M each - at least on my browser that causes some burden.
At my collection thread I size down each photo to a 0.5M JPG file.

Tattu

Absolutely stunning! If you ever decide to do a room tour, I'd be watching it on repeat!
