I also immediately thought of Sauroposiden. I have actually been researching the species a bunch recently, and it has a bunch of super interesting trackways assigned to it. The original material (Neck vertebrae, I think) was misidentified as being fossilised tree trunks too. Can't make any sense of the heart stuff though.

ceratopsian

Sauroposeidon sounds like a strong contender then.

This scares the hell out of me. This beast is estimated at 29 meters. In 1:35 scale this would be 85 cm. OK not as huge as the Argentinosaurus, but still considerably larger than the Alamosaurus.

"Initially the fossils were believed to be simply too large to be the remains of an animal, and due to the state of preservation, believed to be tree trunks. In fact, they are the longest such bones known in dinosaurs. Thus, the vertebrae were stored until 1999, when Dr. Cifelli gave them to a graduate student, Matt Wedel, to analyze as part of a project. Upon their
realization of the find's significance, they issued a press release in October 1999, followed by official publication of their findings in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology in March 2000"

From wiki

Yeah , i thought about Bruhathkayosaurus same reason but very unlikely they would make a figure of it. I didn't know Sauroposeidon thought as tree trunk. A living tree makes great sense now unless we overthink.

Sauroposeidon figure or kids college money...that is the question.

I also believe it is Sauroposeidon. There are thousands of sauropod footprints in Texas in the Glen Rose area that are attributed to Sauroposeidon.

How sure are we this is Brachiosaurus and not Sauroposeidon?  Seems too short to be sauroposeidon but mamenchi's size changed too.
I doubt they'll do both ...

Riddles aside, I would dare to say it is fairly certain, since Brachiosaurus is one of the top famous sauropods, from which Haolonggood has been releasing since the early Apatosaurus. Besides, Sauroposeidon has very poor remains as far as I know and was not really that requested as other sauropods, such as Argentinosaurus and Alamosaurus.

Yeah, we might be overthinking with this one. A living tree and footprints might simply mean a tall & heavy sauropod. Brachiosaurus has been on news and papers for having big heart.

"With their heads held high above the heart, brachiosaurids would have had stressed cardiovascular systems. It is estimated that the heart of Brachiosaurus would have to pump double the blood pressure of a giraffe to reach the brain, and possibly weighed 400 kg (880 lb)."

Also Apatosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Alamosaurus, Argentinosaurus are all famous sauropods.  Brachiosaurus is less risky and even lesser size to produce.

Oh, I assume we are over-thinking this as Dinosaur-nuts, lol. Brachiosaurus fits all the clues loosely and will almost certainly be the species chosen, but is is interesting how perfectly Sauroposeidon matches the riddle.

avatar_TlatolophusJuanorum @TlatolophusJuanorum, once the Paluxysaurus material is added to Sauroposeidon, we actually have about the same amount of material for this animal as Brachiosaurus altithorax proper. haha.

DavidJamesArmsby

We probably are overthinking, yeah! XD
My mind immediately went to Sauroposiden but it could be any large sauropod, really. Brachiosaurus is most likely because it's semi-confirmed already. I'd be happy with anything.

Giraffatitan at that size would make a model just a bit more than PNSO Argentinosaurus size. So hopefully PNSO will do that one.

Haolonggood for Brachiosaurus and Sauroposeidon. (Not in same year i hope)

Off topic, but Yo, the guy who made this iconic pic is Persian?! I never knew until now. Nima Sassani is a super cool name 😎
My best friend got a similar name too lol

Faelrin

Okay but now they need to do Europasaurus (and obviously Brachiosaurus if not Giraffatitan as well). I didn't realize it was that small compared to those others. Also there haven't been figures of it in so long.

I would be really surprised if this is Sauroposeidon or any other sauropod instead of Brachiosaurus or Giraffatitan.
Those are more popular and smaller at the same time so easier to produce for more sales, and alwready confirmed to be planned.

So I just received the Argentinosaurus.

It's one hell of a beast, but I'm slightly disappointed that the eyes don't have that yellow color around the pupils, it's just a light brown.
It's not that bad, and it probably would not bother most people, but of course it had to happen to me who actually cares about head and eyes...

I will try to improve the eyes, maybe by adding a slight yellow circle around the pupils, it might make them look even better than how they were supposed to be.

This has probably been asked ad nauseum before. But the thread is long and I don't want to read it all. Will the Huayangosaurus get an individual release?

I believe the answer was a resolute "no". For whatever reason, it's apparently not profitable enough to release individually.
It could be that, as avatar_DefinitelyNOTDilo @DefinitelyNOTDilo illustrated, the figurine is too detailed for its own good to mass-produce at a reasonable price.

Just noticed this printing error on my Saichania, saying "Onggood" on the belly instead of the full "Haolonggood." No idea how it could have happened, and I know it's official since I got it in-box from Everything Dinosaur. Is it just mine, or is this a common thing with this sculpt? Not that i'm complaining, just found it strange
