Yeah the McFarlane BTAS/TNBA descendants of the DC Direct run have obnoxiously large boxes. The DC Direct ones had a complete plastic clamshellm but they left a smaller space footprint. I have like 30% of the DC Direct ones, and just one of the McF "re-releases", and it's that Batgirl. It also has a lot of meaning to me because my sister would cosplay as Batgirl/Oracle up until 2018 when her health prevented her from coming with me to the comic cons here. I originally wanted to put it up in her shrine, but mum messed up on the From/To label, and it was destiny. It made more sense for me to have it.
Also from her to me were the BOTM raptor repaints, Delta and Claire.

Sinoceratops and Young T.rex from dad to me, and everything except Lythronax was from mom. I gave myself the Lyhtronax.

There's a bunch of stuff I didn't put in the lineup. I also got myself some Hoth Rebel Troopers (4pack) for my ice display, a Mezco 1/12 The Batman figure since I didn't have a The Batman portrayed by Robert Pattinson yet, and other playsets and sets that will show up in my reviews next year.

I suppose it was a titanic haul... >.< I am not even working.

Haha, apparently I do! It was easy with 50% off on all these figures though. :)
But yeah, clothing took a backseat this year. I'll survive.  :))

If you get threadbare, avatar_Roselaar @Roselaar , let us know and we'll take up an offering!

Fembrogon

Apparently I forgot to share this back in September: I ordered the Hammond Collection Grant & Raptor set from Amazon, which is a pretty nicely-made set, apart from the incessantly stupid engineering choice of the raptor's locked-in-place tail after assembly. I had to cut a hole into the plastic shell to fit her in the package again.

A casual stop at a local Goodwill in November had me surprisingly taking home a Schleich T-rex; hey, it was only a couple of bucks! I also found this lot of unmarked minis for pocket change too.

...And then a visit to Walmart last week (searching for new Playmates kaiju) coming home with a couple more Mattel dinos on a whim, marking my last dino acquisitions for the year.

SidB

It's a bit humorous, though totally understandable, that so many of us have to half apologize for our Schleichs. I used to have boxes (literally) of them, virtually every one made up to about 2014 or so, then I gave away almost all of them. But I kept a few (nostalgia replicasaurs plus the odd good one, such as the Vlad Konstantinov ones, reputedly, which are quite decent), including this rex that you picked up, real cheap. It's very stylized, but I like it too -kinda striking in its semi-weirdness. So I keep it, why not!

A very early 2025 arrival, HLG's Styracosaurus. I had debated about getting it.  Did I really need another Styraco? Gave in and here it is. It is rather subdued in coloration, but still well painted, IMO.

A comparison with the somewhat larger scale PNSO figure. They display nicely together, I think.

The new arrival joins my Styracosaurus herd. Do you know all of these?

Joliezac

Very nice! I like the sculpt the most I think, I just wish it had a different color scheme. I only have the Papo one.

Yes, the underwhelming presentation of the paintwork really is obvious in the last panorama where the HLG is almost invisible against the background of the larger PNSO Styracosaurus.

SidB

Mind you, under a bright light and by itself, as in the first picture, it's subtilty shows nicely.

PrimevalRaptor

Birthday haul (well that was Dec 31) featuring the Safari Ltd Daeodon and Velociraptor
Always liked entelodonts since WWB and I love how natural the sculpt looks, feels way more like a real animal as much as I liked the gnarly WWB one
Personal highlight is the Velociraptor, been meaning to pick it up for years, possibly the best Velociraptor out there for me, Safaris dromaeosaurs really are unmatched

Prehistory Resurrection

avatar_PrimevalRaptor @PrimevalRaptor Nice that you have been able to get the Daeodon because it's now a retired figure from Safari ltd. That Velociraptor is such a beauty; couldn't find it in person but at least I was able to get the equally beautiful Deinonychus.

PrimevalRaptor

Yeah I got a gift card and while my sights were set on the Velociraptor (does display well with the Deinonychus too :D) I had enough to get it thanks to a discount. I have been branching out into prehistoric mammals the slightest bit and I couldn't say no to this guy, a shame it's retired now cause it really is an amazing model

Christmas has come and gone, and with it comes some new models, so here they are! (Minus one that hasn't arrived just yet)

We have the PNSO Zuul

HLG Majunga

HLG Megaraptor

CollectA Hypsilophodon

CollectA Struthiomimus x2

As always, more pics and info will be in my collection thread, linked here!

SidB

The Hypsilophodon and Struthiomimus remind me again of how adventurous CollectA has been, historically, in producing genera that other manufacturers would never touch. It's good to award that spirit by continuing to buy these figures.

Libraraptor

That CollectA micro-diorama has its charm.

Just added these to my collection;

The "Simba Toys" Green T-Rex. The reason I've put Simba Toys in quotation marks is because in America, these are labeled as Adventure Force and were made for Walmart in America. As far as I know, they are not available in Walmart anymore. But I guess they are still in production because I've found them in one of my local toy shops recently. I don't know why they are labeled as Simba Toys in other countries though.

There is also a brown variant with blue stripes on the back, but only came across the green variant. I've got two so that one represents the Bull T-Rex from The Lost World JP and the Buck T-Rex from JP3. It's a shame that Mattel couldn't make a proper Bull T-Rex figure with a screen accurate paint work when an outside toy company did it (technically they did, but the crowd funding for it wasn't successful).

Also got the Velociraptor;

Paint work is almost similar to the Tiger Striped Raptor from The Lost World JP.

They also made a Giganotosaurus, Allosaurus and JP inspired Dilophosaurus which I've came across,  as well as a Carnotaurus and Spinosaurus which I didn't see in person.

I was right, the Three Wise Kings did deliver some dino goodnesss  ;D

AcroSauroTaurus

When looking for a couple of Playmates kaiju, I ended up finding these instead.
JW Chaos Theory Styxosaurus

JW Chaos Theory Suchomimus

Not much prehistory-wise for the holidays last year, but my birthday is next week, so we'll see what that brings... besides aging...  ::)
Saurian Field Guide

Papo Megaloceros
I am the Dinosaur King!

Just got the Eofauna Akylosaurus in yesterday. An all-around fantastic figure, the painters must have heard my pleas, because they painted the grayish streaks around the osteoderms pretty neatly! I'll post some pics later today, the color saturation is beautiful, and one of the reasons I held out on PNSO's version. One strange THING i dont love is a opaque gray wash on the top of the tail club that looks kind of like dried glue. The underside is painted beautifully.

Joliezac

I can't wait for this figure! Glad to hear the streaks on yours are painted around the osteoderms. I did cave in and get PNSO's but I figure it can't hurt to have two Ankylosaurus right?
