Quote from: thomasw100 on January 06, 2025, 04:21:44 PMOh I think I know what is going on.

I measured on one picture where the Brachiosaurus is displayed closest to the sagittal plane both the horizontal length and vertical height.

Then I assumed that the horizontal length of 60 cm is correct. If I calculate then the vertical height it comes out at 38.5 cm.

So I believe there is a simple typo in the height in the promotional images. It is most likely 38 cm and not 48 cm.

I did also verify by measuring the horizontal length of both Brachiosaurus and Argentinosaurus in this picture of the exhibition booth that indeed the 60 cm is the correct horizontal length of the Brachiosaurus.

Haolonggood (as well as other manufacturers) should always include the length through the centra.

you are very right, that was a typo. on Lana page it's 400 mm

Brachiosaurus Size: 23.2" L(590MM) X 15.3" H(390MM), Curve length 70 cm / 27.5 inches
Brachiosaurus Packing Weight: 3.5 KG / 7.7 lb
Original Box Size: 30.3" L(770MM) x 6.9" W(175MM) x 13.1" H(335MM)

70 cm curve lenght so it's 24.5 meter for 1/35 scale.

Quote from: MLMjp on January 06, 2025, 05:31:18 PMBrachiosaurus, Diplodocus and Apatosaurus are the big three of sauropods, and I like each one to have different colors for contrast.

I believe red is the best looking one, but I like to hear your thoughts:

Can't wait for Haolonggood to eventually release a Diplodocus in a color that ruins this  ;D
I'm going to disagree with others and say the green Brachiosaurus looks best with the other two genera.  The other two Brachiosaurus have a colouration that looks too complex compared to the other two genera, in my opinion.  Plus I don't like how the orange Brachiosaurus looks.

I am sorry that I will have to spoil your size estimate, but I doubt the quoted curve length of the Brachiosaurus figure of 70 cm.

Alamosaurus has horizontal length of 55 cm and vertical height of 36 cm and curve length of 77 cm.

Now Brachiosaurus has (corrected) horizontal length of 59 cm and vertical height of 39 cm.

So Brachiosaurus is 4 cm longer and 3 cm higher, yet the curve length is supposed to be 7 cm shorter. Impossible.

I think the long curled tail tip of the Alamosaurus is what makes this figure longer (curve lenght) but at the same time shorter (horizontal lenght) than the brachio.

Alamosaurus tail curves a lot, also slight error in head turn

I have to say I'm impressed by the blue and the green Haolonggood Brachiosaurus.  Besides that though, I'm not interested in having a Brachiosaurus figure.  I would like to see more of the Concavenator, that will allow me to decide whether I'll replace my Wild Safari version with it.

I was hoping we would see a catalog pic with upcoming Haolonggood 2025 figures...  On a somewhat related note, I'm now interested in seeing Haolonggood's Mosasaurus.  I'm not satisfied with the articulated jaw on the most recent CollectA version, so I might replace mine with Haolonggood's.  I just hope it DOESN'T have a dorsal fin.

This does not fully account for the difference. I have roughly measured the length through the centra from a picture and arrive at about 74 cm. This does not yet account for the sidewards turn of the tail and the turn of the head, which will add a bit more (not much though).

It is really strange that they have not shown the Concavenator figure but only the box. And so far no pictures from that catalog.

Up on Lana now: https://lanatime-shop.com/collections/grtoys-haolonggood/products/hao048?
$95 is the current pricing. As expected with HLG sauropods the price will likely go up from there as time goes on.

Placed my order just now. Shipping costs to central Europe were 45 USD with EMS. Not too bad. Finally I went for the red-brown one. From the pictures that were available I think that this will be more or less these reddish-brownish colors we saw on the Kosmoceratops.

Lana told me that they indicated a shipping date of March on their website, because possibly the production would not be complete before the Chinese New Year Holiday. However, they would ship earlier if they get the figures in before the holidays start.

Dinosaur Models Artworks told me that he can do the tooth extraction if considered necessary.

So what will be the next sauropod, Barosaurus, Diplodocus, Patagotitan or Dreadnoughtus?

Joliezac

I ordered the blue one! I was going to wait but since it was under $100 I decided to get it, it being a limited version made me a bit worried I will miss out on the future. Although I wish I didn't have to pay the $45 shipping until later, oh well.

This will be my first Brachiosaurus figure and I'm so excited to see it in person.

I wonder when the poor overlooked Einiosaurus will be released.

Quote from: ceratopsian on January 07, 2025, 08:07:38 AMMy Online Toy Store already has it up for preorder. £139.99 plus about £20 postage. I assume that for UK sales, 20% VAT will be added at point of sale, as for their other merchandise.

Nevermind, i found it.

Yeah I wish you could pick which Huayangosaurus you were getting. Although I don't really have a preference. I suppose people could trade? Although not sure if that is worth the shipping...

a reared up Barosaurus would be great.

Perhaps it was eaten by Majungasaurus or Concavenator in Haolonggoods Jurassic Park.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Do we know if all the images Lana used are final production pics or also prototype pics? They all look like what we have seen shared everywhere so far and not official pics from HLG.
