(Sorry if this is in the wrong place, please move/delete if so)

There seems to be a handful of new figures coming out this year, and some older ones are receiving re-releases as well. Thought I'd try and make a thread for compiling news. Very new to the forum, so I apologize for any errors.

A new video was posted a few days ago that showed an unpainted Pachycephalosaurus prototype on a shelf (I don't have an image, sorry). The Gorgosaurus figure is also available once again for preorder, ships sometime in March.

I wonder if the new Gorgosaurs will have the old base or updated stand? I've not seen any pics or videos showing how well those work with the tyrannosaurs.

Lana has it now on their website for pre-order.

They work well for the most part. I'm not crazy about them since the posing opportunities are limited. The new clear plastic bases work much better in my opinion.

I already own it. Just not this re-release.  I would order direct from David or vis Dan's Dinosaurs if in the U.S. if I did need it.

You mean these or did I miss something?

Posing is always an issue with these figures for me. It's really hard to get something that they can stay in and be stable on a shelf long term. So far the Dilophosaurus and Allosaurus has done well on these new bases, but I've done nothing really crazy with the Allo.

Yep those bases exactly. I've gotten some pretty wacky poses out of the allosaurus and managed to have it supported with the stand. Granted I didn't leave them in those poses for all too long so I don't know how it would affect the overall strain on the joints.

The good thing is that because the tails are the correct length the figures can stand unsupported pretty well under normal circumstances.

I did get them to stand without bases which was impressive, but I don't feel safe with long term. The Tyrannosaurs seem to work best in neutral poses without their normal bases. Using the bases even the foot flat on ground feet had toes that warped on several of mine.

That's not bad with the free shipping. The Allo is 110.00 from David for example.

Welcome to the forum!

Generally new releases for CB have been in threads for the respective lines, just because they tend to preview upcoming releases more than a year in advance of their release, and there are often delays for various reasons. That means it's hard to say what year they'll actually come out. For similar reasons, there is rarely a "Rebor - New for 20__" thread. But there's no reason in principle that there couldn't be, just more likely to become inaccurate than similar threads for companies that only preview new figures a few months in advance (or sometimes days, like PNSO).

UPDATE regarding Kickstarter figures:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SeHXMyekD0

TLDR
-Figures are being sent out in 3 waves (A=March, B=May, C=November)
-The non-armored versions first due to last minute tweaking of parts and the human riders
-There will be a booth at ToyLanta (Duluth, Georgia) at the very end of March where they will be showing off more figures
-More information in general coming soon

Blade-of-the-Moon

When was the Dino Rider tribute Sabretooth releasing?  I'm also interested in the Tyrannosaurus armor if and when it gets made.

ARGDino

"Cryolophosaurus ellioti" prototype, available to preorder sometime next month

ARGDino

"Pachycephalosaurus" prototype, available for preorder next month with an estimated release date of late summer. Neck can bend for "headbutting" and comes with an interchangeable dome for AUTHENTIC BATTLE DAMAGE!

ARGDino

"Kentrosaurus aethiopicus" sculpt render, estimated release "end of 2025". Will have interchangeable shoulder/hip spikes for speculative placement.

"Austroraptor" with I believe an extant belted kingfisher color scheme (female?). Said they wanted to squeeze the release into Wave C, so that would be November/end of 2025.

ARGDino

Baby Chasmosaurus and Triceratops preorders go live in February, with the possibility of more baby dinosaurs for the future.

ARGDino

Stegosaurus incoming! Preorders start February with an estimated release date of "late summer". BIG BOI!
