I received an email from Lana Time asking to review the the purchase of the HLG Edmontosaurus (green). So today, I looked at it closely before sending in the review and noticed a big paint problem on the left tail.
On the Edmontosaurus, one tail stripe is supposed to extend down to the bottom of the tail like the adjacent stripes, but on mine, it extends down about 50% and the area is clean without weathering and the bottom of the tail is supposed to be clean, but mine has a hodge podge of dark spots.

I have posted screenshots of Andy's YouTube review and mine (apologies for the lousy photo, but my camera is dying)to compare.
I took a quick glance at Lana Time's website which allows email contact, but I don't know if I can attach photos to show my Edmontosaurus' paint problem.

Looks like maybe the paint was touched while it was wet?

Lana is reachable on FB if you have an account.

BLADE-OF-THE-MOON:

I'm not on Facebook. I'll email them and ask if there's a way to email them the above photos. The actual paint problem looks worse than in the photo.

This is the first time I've ever had a paint problem with a dinosaur and only the second problem after the earlier Nanmu Leaning Tower of Parasaurolophus.

I have been contacting Lana many times by E-mail and I have also sent pictures in case of a problem. Maybe contact them first without sending the pictures and they will most likely anyway ask you to send pictures.

In fact I had paint issues on a few of my Haolonggood figures. This is the price we pay for the lower price these have compared to PNSO.

THOMASW:

Thanks for the info. I just emailed Lana Time and asked if there is a way to send them photos.

I already have the HLG Argentinosaurus, Alamosaurus and Styrachosaurus and there were no paint problems. Yesterday, I ordered the HLG Maiasaura, so I hope that doesn't have a paint problem.

I've experienced paint errors on the PNSO Borealopelta, Carnotaurus and Tarbosaurus.

Likewise. My most notable example would be the Miragaia. Had a huge paint scuff right on the flank even though the figure was fresh out of its packaging.

It's worth it to have a FB if your just doing business or find pics and updates. It still doesn't cost anything..yet.

Lana Time emailed me after forwarding my photos to Haolonggood and they said, "...they have confirmed that this is a production issue."
So they are sending me a new Edmontosaurus.

I assume other collectors may also have an Edmontosaurus with a paint problem.

Exactly what I expected that they would do, based on my previous experience with them. If one writes to them in a friendly way pointing out a problem, they will be happy to find a solution.

The way a company deals with problems is when you learn if you deal with a good or a bad company. And Lana has been stellar so far.

Still waiting on that Udanoceratops...

The paintwork looks pretty lazy on the concavenators. I will save money and skip on them for now. The sculpt looks fantastic though and they look better with no articulation.

I agree with Andy that the paint application on this one is rougher than the Majungasaurus. The patterns are inconsistent, and quite a few areas of paint bleeding around the head. The custom repaint shows that the sculpt is superb.

Good not to throw the baby out with the bath water!

After watching this review I definitely prefer the bluish version.

That's best review so far. Not just because there are 3 variants but they are under regular lighting and he talks about small differences like eye colors most reviews missed.

Zelan

Has anyone else got the 131 argentinosaurus?
I received mine not long ago but the eyes look a bit poorly painted and there's some glue running down the side of the head.

I'm not sure what it should look like, all I have ever seen are pictures of other colour variants and they all look much better application wise.

Here are also some quick pictures I took on my phone showing it with some other various sauropods and all the other haolonggood dinos I own.

Overall aside from the issues with the eyes and glue I'm very happy with this figure and I personally prefer this colour variant over the others.
My only other complaint is the body seems to be lacking in the darker spots compared to the promo images we've seen, but it's not really all that noticeable either.

Also I definately missed the preorder window but it came with all the bonuses anyways.
