There's not a lot of toy companies that don't short sauropods on tail length, but..
We are accustomed to look upon the shackled form of a conquered monster, but there - there you could look at a thing monstrous and free." - King Kong, 2005

That's a long tail....Mattel is really killing with those giant Sauropods. Rest is looking nice, too.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Makes me want it more now. That said I still need to get around to getting the Dreadnoughtus and Mamenchisaurus for what it's worth. Still bummed I haven't had the chance to get those during their respective years because of too much going on. Lucky to nab the Diplodocus while it went on sale (as I did with the HC Brachiosaurus in late 23).

The vibrant mix of black, white, and orange, gives this one a sort of clownfish vibe now that I think about it, which will certainly help it stand out among the rest's more earth tones. Looks like it is right around the size of the Dreadnoughtus too maybe (give or take length from the tail)?

Edit: I forgot to mention this earlier, but I'm really glad the Queztalcoatlus appears to have articulation on the wings after all. Hope they do HC Dominion one like this someday. Can't wait to pick it up.

These are a delight. Loved the action feature of the spino. Even though I don't collect the mainline as much, seeing these toy reveals makes me feel like a kid every time

Dilopho

The Spinosaurus reminds me of a torch I used to have which was charged by squeezing the handle, which spins some friction gears.
Is that what's going on here? Does it run on batteries at all? Surely it must have some for the sound, or is it all powered through friction?

It's a brilliant looking feature. But man, I think they choose a bad dinosaur to give it to because people are going to want to put this in water. You can't do that with such a mechanism.

hm...not likin' the super long tail on the titanosaurus, to be honest.  Not very scientifically accurate to any titanosaur, which all had shortish tails.  Not crazy about the techno dream coat colour scheme either.  May have to re-think getting that one.

Still liking the Quetz though.  Depending on how big it is i may get that one.

Watching that video of the Spinosaurus movement my brain kept playing this song..

The Titano and Quetz have some MAJOR Kenner/Chaos Effect line vibes.

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon That might be part of why I'm so drawn to them honestly. I was part of the target audience when that line released (as well as the Lost World line prior).

I didn't much care for it when it came out but I have grown to like them quite a bit.

avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho So it turns out the "raptor" near the vehicle was an Alioramus all this time in like a metallic red and silver paint. Can be seen pretty clearly at frame 0:27 in this video below (which also showcases the Mosasaurus, Spinosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus features). Also might be worth muting the video for the first ten seconds. I had my headphones on and my ears did not appreciate it.

Maybe it's just because I've watched a Christmas Story too many times with my dad, but I have a feeling that Mosasaurus might shoot some poor kid's eye out.

Titanosaurus is confirmed to be their largest sauropod yet. Still curious to how it will compare with the others though.

The Titanosaurus will be the largest only because of the long tail.  It looks to me like it will be the size of the Dreadnoughtus but with a much longer tail.  I guess that makes it technically the largest sauropod but not really, in my books.

Anyway, reserving final judgement until i see the thing in the flesh, er, plastic.

Blade-of-the-Moon

The dimensions they gave at the Brazilian Toy Fair for the TItano was just a bit smaller than the Dreadnoughtus.  It looked to me like they had it in a pose that was very vertical with the neck at the show to make it look as tall as possible. It does have a heck of a long tail. If the tail is flexible that could change the length as well.   I'm guessing it will be a Target exclusive item that will see around mid/end of summer?

Not gonna lie: I thought Mattel's JW presentation was very underwhelming this year. Only five toys on display, all of which were already revealed online weeks ago. A stark contrast from previous years.

I kind of feel the same. I wonder if Universal is having them keep things underwrap, or directing the focus to be on the big highlight creatures of the film shown off in the plot synopsis and trailer, especially considering how the marketing up to now has been pretty tempered until the trailer released (and still seems to be?).

I do remember what an absolutely massive amount of reveals we got at the ToyFair in 2018 with Fallen Kingdom on the horizon. After months of speculations, wishlists, and unofficial leaks, it was Mattel's first chance to show what they could do with the license and they really did not disappoint. Attack Packs, Roarivores, Super Colossal T. rex toys, minis, Legacy Collection, Epic Roarin' T. rex, Real Feel Mosasaurs, the list goes on. And not just one wave either, multiple planned releases all shown off at once! I was absolutely giddy at the time and the Mattel line was my main collecting focus for so long afterwards. That initial street date was so long coming and I had squirreled away so many gift cards in anticipation, and when it finally came around, I felt like a kid in a candy store. And oh, the joy I felt finding the Carnotaurus tucked up on a top shelf in a random Walmart a week early. Hard to believe that that was already seven years ago!

(And now that I've said that, the existential terrors begin.
How has it been that long?? And have I even felt that level of joy since?!!  :o )

Blade-of-the-Moon

I don't think this was as big as the old Toy Fairs seemed to be? That's the general impression I received.

All of those shown are due out in May/June..maybe April..escpet maybe that Titano..I'm betting it's a Target exclusive but I could be wrong. We didn't see any Hammond Collection pieces either.

Flaffy

Yeah I agree, not a very exciting Toy Fair. Especially considering this is a film year.

Marketing and promotion definitely feels a lot more tempered for JWR compared to the sheer amount of hype seen for JWFK.

I don't see why they would want to keep the non-movie toys under wraps, and we all know full well that the majority of 2025 toys will not be appearing on screen for an instant. Also, Mattel could have easily supplemented their Toy Fair display with toys that have already come out just recently, like the Hypsilophodon and Styxosaurus waves. Other companies often do just that.

Fallen Kingdom was Mattel's first go at the property after Hasbro ran it into the dirt. They had to go big for that one.
