Wow, look at the colors, all three look great now. Obvious Buck T.rex inspiration for the green one... Dark grey/brown being absent means it might be the limited edition one.

Now, show us that face Haolonggood...

They are either very proud or really ashamed of the head  :P

I certainly don't need another Buck inspired Rex so it's narrowing things down at least. :)

Could this be the most drawn out tease from HLG yet?

Side note, can anyone tell from the box skeletal if this model is intended to be based on a specific specimen?

It looks kinda like Scotty's skull.

I feel that tweet which stated that the figure would be lipless is part of an April fools joke. All those pictures leaked but not one showing the head clearly probably means that the full release will be on April 1st which will show the figure is indeed lipped.
But today, I'm just being father

Has anyone entertained the idea that maybe the figure has a mouth that isn't articulated, and sculpted in an open position with just enough wiggle room to be ambigous whether it's been sculpted with or without lips? A lot like this 3D render we saw a few weeks ago.

Just a thought that crossed my mind.

There does appear to be a seam around the jaw (but obviously this is a frustratingly terrible photo so who knows), but even if the jaw was static, they would have to mold it in multiple parts anyway to cast the inner mouth parts so there would be a seam regardless.

I honestly still assume the figure will have have an articulated jaw, it just crossed my mind that perhaps it wouldn't. If the mouth is sculpted in a static open position it would also recontexturalise the Haolonggood's fan account's comment about the teeth being exposed. Perhaps they just meant the mouth is open.

Both Paleofiguras and Haolonggood Fans have confirmed that the jaw is articulated.

Hi how are things? Can I get a photo of the T. rex with its jaw closed? One of the questions they ask the most is if they have lips and if they cover the teeth when the jaw is closed.

Thanks for the information. I wondered why no one had brought up the non-articulated jaw idea yet. Didn't know it was already confirmed to be articulated. I, like many others, hope the figure has lips, but it's looking like it won't which is a shame.

suspsy

I'm still keen to see official images, but I will most likely pass on the toy due to the lack of lips. Again, I do wish that Haolonggood would commit one way or the other instead of seemingly alternating. And again, I already own two magnificent T. rex toys with lips, so this isn't a disaster.

Also, it's only a matter of time before Safari Ltd. puts out a new T. rex with lips.

I'd just like a good Torvosaurus tanneri figure, it doesn't matter to me if it has lips or if it doesn't...

Gwangi

I guess not having lips will further enhance the 90's aesthetic I said it had.

Zelan

I was really hoping to get a 1/35 lipped T. rex but I guess this won't be the one.
Maybe better pictures will change my mind but I already own too many lipless T. rex to justify yet another.
It's a shame because some of the colours seem quite nice.

I think colors would charm me to get one if it was under 27 Euros which is obviously impossible.  :(

Really sorry that the situation with importing stuff into your country is so difficult. I hope that it will eventually improve again.

This figure is small enough though that someone who travels to your country could maybe bring it. Like without box as used item for personal use.

Considering the Haolonggood Stegosaurus was 30 USD and Triceratops 40 USD, I would guess that the T. rex would come out at 45 to 50 USD.

The release will probably be early next week.
