I've made a section of the blog for videos so the DinoToyBlog Channel is now part of the blog itself: https://dinotoyblog.com/dinotoyblog-channel/.

Videos will appear in the blog feed in the same way articles do. But they will all be viewable here: https://dinotoyblog.com/other-category/video/ For now there's only one video (plus the channel trailer on this page:https://dinotoyblog.com/dinotoyblog-channel/) but I'll add the entire Youtube channel backlog in time.

Why do this? I'm just sick of Youtube's intrusive and overabundant video ads and I'm sure you are, too. This way, all DinoToyBlog channel content will be completely free of video ads.

Over the next few days I'm planning to import all of my old DinoToyBlog Channel videos from Youtube to DinoToyBlog (with the videos being embedded on the blog, but hosted and also viewable on the PeerTube site MakerTube).

This might flood the site with posts of old videos so I'll try to avoid them clogging up the front page by backdating the posts. It might also lead to lots of email notification for newsletter subscribers so apologies in advance - just ignore them.

The objective is to copy over all of the content so I can delete the YouTube Channel outright... and then focus fully on creating new video content!  8)

I think they´ll achieve an even greater viewership on the blog than on YouTube, because likely the more relevant audience is gathering and frolicking there :)

I doubt it, just because the audience on Youtube was so vast, but I hope so.

I've added about 1/4 of the backlog now, so the channel is taking shape. I don't know where I found the enthusiasm or energy to create so many videos. :)) But it's interesting looking back, and there are some interesting videos, like this overview of Carnegie-inspired Kronosaurus figures: https://dinotoyblog.com/video/krono-sausage-sauruses/ Maybe once the new channel is established on the blog my enthusiasm will pick up again.

I'm also open to posting guest videos, especially collections overviews, which are always popular.

Vaguely. As well as I remember anything at all from 10 years ago. :))

A new collection video from you would be great. I'll create one for my own collection once I have it all on display.

I've added about half of the videos to the blog now (and added all of them to Peertube already). I'm setting up new categories as I go so we can filter the videos into 'playlists'.

All of the videos are now on the blog. I bumped a few notable videos to the top of the blog but will probably correct the publication dates for these later.

So, now I can delete them from Youtube and create new video content on Peertube/DinoToyBlog! I will start with some top 10s and unboxings. If anybody is interested to post a video of their own collection on the DinoToyBlog Channel let me know and we can make it happen. I'm also open to other video ideas and guest videos if anyone has any suggestions.

I've just deleted all the videos from the Youtube Channel, which was immensely satisfying, if a little sad. Blame Youtube and their incessant ad spam.

I'm working of a very secret project, tortoisely-paced, of course (i made that up), but am severely behind due to a massive setback on my health. it has bee my dream to do a video overview of my collection for my defunct channel. i may post a short teaser soon. i'd be honored to give an exclusive look here.

Right lol the song fish dedicated to Spino could be a serious challenger to some of internationally renowned DJs :*D
Meanwhile, I let one of my colleagues listen to the Dino Cookies song and they literally loved it !
