We get another disaster like the Dunkleosteus... On a more serious note I think this shark sculptor can do great work with many prehistoric sharks.

Edestus would be quite high on my list, as the Safari toob version left me longing for a more accurate representation.

I'd even settle for more Cretoxyrhina* or Squalicorax figures - just something that isn't megalodon for the umpteenth time!

*the PNSO is pretty great, but a second or third option on the market would still be nice.

I feel like we can a Schleich Edestus if they release a cretoxyrhina. It will be so messed it will end up looking like the former anyways 😂

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy, regarding great white shark figures, I too have the one avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi posted.  I prefer it to the one you posted as the latter has poorly defined upper jaw teeth.  I have two great white shark figures and can't pick a favourite between the two, they're both equally good in my opinion, they are the previously mentioned Schleich and the more recent Toymany version.  The Toymany version can be seen here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TOYMANY-Creature-Animals-Figures-Figurines/dp/B0C73VW8ZR/ref=asc_df_B0C73VW8ZR?mcid=f8af944ff75c3d90b382a54fc15b6593&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696350735961&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3605372536199574089&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045939&hvtargid=pla-2197187664600&gad_source=1&th=1

I too would love a more accurate Edestus than the Safari toob version!

ToyMany certainly is a rising star. Incredibly affordable for one (for reference the set below only costs $23!). Good paint apps and nice sculpts for the low price. Their extant, sealife and farm offerings so far have caught my eye. Certainly hope to see them branch out into prehistorics while maintaining the high sculpt quality.

Meg? Guess the Colby brothers are gonna need a bigger boat. :))

Looking at the video, there also seems to be "Lava Spinosaurus" for Eldrador Creatures. Might not be the proper name.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Where did you get these images from?

Also, the two-headed jungle creature is billed as "Lizard." I don't think it's intended to be a dinosaur at all. Still looks cool, though.

I don't like all the little cuts on the megalodon but I'm still gonna get it.

Ha ha I'm sure you're right, it would be atrocious. I should have posted it to the "Corrupt a Wish" thread.

A good Edestus from anyone would be very welcome, though.

ToyMany is a member of the Animal Toy Forum and although they've used molds from other companies in the past they also make their own, and have graciously shared images of their sculpts and have been friendly with the community there. In much the same way HLG does here. The frogs are all original. B @bmathison1972 did an overview of the set for the Animal Toy Blog. They look great, I plan on getting the set.

Minizoo's got the Megalodon. I have zero interest in this animal, but this looks like a pretty decent toy of it, and from Schleich at that.

https://www.minizoo.com.au/schleich-megalodon-toy-figurine/

EDIT - I'll see what happens after I've had a few more drinks, and it is payday, but I have the Jaws Lego set and I'm tempted to get this to pair with the Orca...
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

crazy8wizard

I am a devoted megalodon hater BUT I do like that the length seems to be based on recent estimates. That'd be like if Schleich made a second Dunkleosteus that was the proper 5 meter look.

Gwangi

I like megalodon, their teeth are abundant in my neck-of-the-woods and although I have yet to find one I will certainly be ecstatic when I do. That said, I have no figures of one, because I don't really feel like trying to fit what is basically a great white shark in my prehistoric animal cabinet. I will be getting this one though, even if it's really just another great white. I can't ignore adding one to my collection forever.

crazy8wizard

Every megalodon figure (in my opinion) either looks just like a regular great white, or a great white that stole Grandpa's Dentures like Bart Simpson.
This one might look better repainted, however. The Smithsonian's Megalodon sculpture is a good example of it still looking like a real shark but at least a little different, so that color scheme is prime for the repaint picking.
