The same for what I've seen from the UK. Only ever Papo or Schleich in the wild. Chinasaurs here and there too.

Still can't believe the NHM London has such a piss poor selection in their gift shop.

SidB

Yes, avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy , so it seems, from your posted picture. I'm assuming that it has been much better historically?

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Does the London Natural History Museum sell Papo or Schleich at all or is it just these? The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh sells Papo figures (extinct and extant animals) and has done for the 10+ years I've been going regularly. From memory, Edinburgh Zoo also has a Papo selection in the gift shop, and a much bigger one at that.

Can confirm. There is a toy shop local to me that carries CollectA, and the natural history museum in Cambridge (where I used to live) stocks Safari, but other than that I've pretty much only seen Schleich and Papo.

The NHM has had Papo and a few Schleich, as well as the Chinasaurs avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy showed above, the last few times I've visited. When I was a kid it was full of Invicta, Carnegie and Wild Safari... how times have changed  :-\

I visited the NHM last week, and only Papo still stands (also a very limited selection of mostly old releases). No Schleichs to be seen anymore, gone along with London NHM's own crude line of exclusive figures.

The only figure of potential interest is their leftover exhibit-exclusive stock of the Patagotitan. Though also quite crude.

Interesting! I recall my very first visit to the NHM almost a decade ago, and never saw anything of interest back then either ( S @SidB ). How many years ago was this?

I remember going in 2007 with my dad. I think he got me an original 1988 release Carnegie Stegosaurus (which they still had for some reason) and an Invicta Plesiosaurus. They already had the Toyway NHM line – I think it had just been released – but there were also a lot of Invictas still left, even though I believe the line was out of production by then.

Papo is nearly impossible to find in stores in the US. I work at a Toy Store and we frequently order Safari & Schleich. Papo we order occasionally but they are more expensive than the former two (which in my opinion Papo is better quality than especially Schleich, but most customers are kids not collectors). We ordered Papo this year and they only shipped us 2/3 of the order. Only about 4 of the 18 new products I ordered actually arrived (despite everything but the Suchomimus) being released before 2025. They cancel backorders in the new year so we didn't even get the new items except for the 4. They must be having production issues on their end or something.
That's quite interesting. I can't speak for anywhere else, but here in Scotland it is exclusively Schleich and Papo you see in stores. They're both super common. No Safari or CollectA at all. I import a lot of my non-dinosaur Safari LTD and CollectA figures from Spain.

Yeah I can't complain though because I get Safari quickly and affordably since I'm in the US and have been ordering directly from their site for years. I guess its a tradeoff. I order CollectA once a year from Minizoo when new stuff is out, they seem to have the best prices and get it the quickest. Papo I usually wait to arrive in online US shops, but it takes awhile.

I'm from Mexico City and can't even find 2024 Papo line (ampelo, corytho). 😅😭

I could speak this morning with a Papo headquarters staff member and they confirmed that the Suchomimus should be released between April and May, more likely in May.
Apparently, the delay is due to the fact that their RD department wanted to make a figure as perfect as possible since they knew it would be in great demand.

PS : in France, we almost find exclusively Papo figures :-\

Well, that's most commendable. Seems that the Papo dinosaurs are undergoing a renaissance.

Joliezac

Thanks for the info! Personally I rather wait longer and have a better product than have something rushed. I'm sure this Sucho is going to be very popular.

Yeah, let's wait and see. It's just a matter of time now ;)

Bracing myself to wait until 2026 for Anhanguera.

Can confirm on the Edinburgh Zoo front. Got my pygmy hippo from there. Blair Drummond and the Highland Wildlife Park carry Papo also

I haven't been to Blair Drummond in years. There's a good chance we're the only two people on this forum that know where those two zoos are, honestly! XD

Man, the wait for the Suchomimus, the Yangchaunosaurus, the Edmontosaurus and the Saltwater Rock-a-dilly-o is REAL. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Papo, and it is sooo nice to see them back with such nice sculpts.

Ivántirrophus

Papo Corythosaurus is as small as Papo Polacanthus 😞

Lu_Yuping

Btw, do we know who sculpted:

Megalodon
Corythosaurus
Ampelosaurus

I don't know if this has been posted before, but this is in today's email from Happy Hen:

"Papo & Mojo Fun brands have lost their US Distributor and currently do not have any plans for new stock being imported."

Dilopho

Now that's sad news. Papo have long since been one of the pillars of Dinosaur toy collecting. Now People in the USA are going to have to pay up to get what should be easy to find.
