I don't know it does suck to be sure and I will get some of those new pieces one way or the other, but I recall when Papo first started out with their green JP Rex.  I saw it in the pages of PT first. I HAD to have it.

I just came across the Corythosaurus in store for the very first time. Golly, it's tiny. Much tinier than the Parasaurolophus, only about the size of the original Velociraptor. Is it supposed to be a juvenile?

Having spoken this morning with the person of the Papo's headquarters in charge of the order processing and US/Canada distributors management, here are some few points I wanted to share with you :

1 – Suchomimus will be released in France around 19-21 May.
2 – A stock of this figure should be available for US customers at the beginning of June, through Amazon US.
3 – The contract between Papo and their main US distributor has been suspended, for an unlimited duration, until they find the best solution in regard to the new import duties rules (but a stock of figures is apparently still available from some resellers).
4 – Papo will continue to supply their Canadian distributor (Presse Commerce Distribution).
5 – The feathered Trex and Yangchuanosaurus should be released in 2026 (I forgot to ask them an update for Anhanguera :*D ).
6 – The R&D director usually decides on their own which species to inscribe in their catalogues, but they would be happy to listen to our suggestions (I'm thinking about the recent polls organized by avatar_Sim @Sim , among other things).
However, if they decide to keep some of our ideas, they could take them into account for their 2027-2028 novelties at the earliest.

PS : They admitted the Corythosaurus was a bit small but confirmed it was an adult.

I don't care for this new trend of releasing digital images of toys that aren't actually coming out for a whole other year. I'm perfectly aware of unexpected delays and what not, which is why I feel that Papo should hold off on revealing a toy until it is at the production stage.

Revealing new figures a year or more before they're released is nuts.

Sorry, I didn't ask them.
Actually, they told me that almost all the figures which were supposed to be released this year could be delayed for 2026 as the latter go back and forth between the place of manufacture and their warehouse.
Anyway, I keep the Edmontosaurus in mind for the next time I'll give them a call/email them, and of course, if there is no official update in the meantime.

PS : as the old saying goes in that case, patience is a virtue O:-)

Yeah, I'll second that. Frustrating at best. I tend to take their projected offerings a lot less seriously when this sort of release schedule emerges. Although the quality seems to be returning to the old production value levels, these delays don't help the 'revival' one bit.

PPS : I do apologize, I just wanted to report here what I learnt today with the Papo's collaborator but I didn't mean to make you all upset !

Thanks for the info avatar_Protopatch @CharlieNovember !
Finally I will have sucho and I hope edmonto wont be delayed.

No need to apologize! No one is upset at you. We appreciate the intel.  ^-^

That's more information than we've ever received from Papo if I recall correctly. Good job and thanks!

This is still better than being a high end statue collector. Wait time is 1-2 years if your lucky with no updates. ugh

I've been waiting 2 years and 11 months for my Taka Corp Light Fury. Still no end in sight.

Thank you for the update! Very excited for the Suchomimus

I feel ya. I ordered a Muppets Uncle Deadly figure about 2.5 years ago. I would cancel it but it has free shipping and if  i do I have to pay the shipping on what already shipped which is like 2/3 of the cost of it.  So it sits there in limbo waiting on stock that may never come.  Come to think of it I'm in the same boat with my XM Studios Spacegodzilla.

avatar_Sim @Sim , I'm following to see if you would be interested in receiving the contact details of the person at Papo France to whom you can submit the list of the figures we'd like them to make.
I don't know if Papo was part of the selected companies but just in case, feel free to let me know !
I've already briefly introduced DTF and its international community of passionate collectors to them, so they are aware of a potential contact from us on this matter :)

Sim

Sure, avatar_Protopatch @CharlieNovember, please PM me the contact details to me, that would be great! :)  I was including Papo as one of the companies I would show the polls to.

Minizoo's listed the prices for the 2025 range (except for the T rex and Anhanguera).

Hopefully this indicates that there will not be a long wait.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I'm gonna be sooooo grumpy, if that Salty doesn't float...

Thanks! Minizoo also is decreasing their Papo prices by 20% for the next year, so they are actually the cheapest option for me to get now. They are getting 2 2025 figures in soon (I assume the tiger & toad dragon since those are the only new figures released so far). According to spielfiguren's site, the deer, jellyfish, and fallow deer are next. the shark, saltie, leaf insect, later, and the dinosaurs probably not until 2026... But who knows maybe they will arrive earlier. I'm just trying to be realistic with Papo's track record.
