Quote from: suspsy on May 06, 2025, 04:42:13 PMAlthough I still have no interest in buying it, I hope that the herbivore is the Einiosaurus at very long last.

Maybe they are waiting a bit to release the Einiosaurus to avoid ceratopsian fatigue, 5-6 ceratopsians from Haolonggood y 4 from PNSO in less than a year.

It has been quite a surge for sure, but in defense of this phenomenon, I'll say that in contrast to the glut of tyrannosaurids and carcharodontosaurids of the past, ceratopsian genera are quite varied and often remarkably unique, at least from the neck frill forwards.

New teaser by Haolonggood fans:

Translated from Spanish: At the dawn of the Cretaceous, where the ferns danced, my shadow rose like a classic specimen. It advanced in a pack, like a brave squadron. Without fangs, but with beak and teeth...

Looks more like a rubber animatronic than a figure.

Iguanodon

Yeah that definitely looks like Iguanodon, huh. Wouldn't have added the spike to the lower beak if it was me, perhaps, but it doesn't seem unreasonable. Assuming they don't make it too small or scrawny; I feel vindicated skipping the PNSO Iguanodon now. Thought I guess that's mostly because my budget so far prevented me from getting all that many PNSO figures anyway lmao
If PNSO-covered dinosaurs are gonna be officially "on the menu" now, so to speak, I hope they'll make a Tsintaosaurus soon. The PNSO is beautiful, but the price and undersized head would make me appreciate an alternative.

I've wanted PNSO's iguanodon but I can't justify the $60 price tag. I'd love to see HLG's

Halichoeres

"Dawn of the Cretaceous" pretty much guarantees Iguanodon.

If you want PNSO's, I may be getting rid of mine. I got it in a lot and can't tell if I want it or not.

Your comment got me thinking, so I searched a bit and found the original image.

Same scratches on the beak.

OMG, didn't expect it to be true. :)) (more like a solid head, but still)

So it is not the actual figure, uh? That's a bit dissapointing.

suspsy

An Iguanodon is an easy pass for me, what with already owning the excellent CollectA and Safari versions.

"This post is to answer some people who have asked me if only what is in this year's teaser will be all that will be released.
The brochure was made against the clock, so not all figures could be included. In fact, for that reason, the actual silhouettes of some figures couldn't be included either, and an artistic representation had to be included. However, I can inform you that some figures that don't appear in the teaser, but that we've mentioned since last year that they are planning to release, are: Shantungosaurus, Iguanodon, Miragaia, Mosasaurus, and more surprises."

Thanks for sharing that avatar_Turkeysaurus @Turkeysaurus! ^-^  I hope for Tuojiangosaurus and Torvosaurus tanneri from Haolonggood!  Also, I would prefer a new Dacentrurus based on Miragaia, rather than Miragaia as I already have the PNSO Miragaia and I like what Haolonggood did for Dacentrurus previously but I would like something closer to our current understanding of Dacentrurus as being closely related to (and possibly the same species as) Miragaia.

suspsy

Mosasaurus and Miragaia are also easy passes. Shantungosaurus is a big fat maybe. All depends on how big and fat its price tag is.

What if they called the Miragaia Dacenturus???

Already got toys of that one too. I'd probably buy a Hesperosaurus if they made one.

...Mildly annoyed at this seeming new HLG trend of using the work of other people for their teasers. Between the size comparison and the photo now I guess they only did it twice (or hey, maybe just once, and their model just happens to heavily resemble that animatronic) but I hope they don't make it a pattern.

Maybe finally the definitive Iguanodon for me ?
I'm not sold on the Safari and Collecta models, and the PNSO is weird and expansive at the same time.
Shantungosaurus, Mosasaurus and Deinosuchus, lots of exciting reveal imo.

But I fear they will make the Mosasaurus lipless in JW style, they tend do make the popular species without lips, especially the ones promoted in general public material like movies, only the others have lips.
