Looks quite good! It's always good to see a species that doesn't have very many figures, get made. I think I prefer the brown variant but as per usual I'll wait to see in hand photos of both before I make a decision.

SenSx

Finally a new specie that did not have a figure, even though Inm not really interested in it.

Hope Giga gets releases soon so that we can finally see Iguanodon and Shantungosaurus.

My only issue with Haolonggood's sauropods is that they're all in very similar positions. This one, with its neck slightly stretched out in a bellow is a small but super refreshing change.
I absolutely love this pose.

suspsy

I also would like to see a sauropod that doesn't have its head raised up high. The problem with that, though, is that the packaging would have to be much longer. It's probably why Haolonggood hasn't tackled any further diplodocids.

Looks good! I might start purchasing one hHLG sauropod a year until I catch up with them haha.

StickyDan

Very nice, I really like the brown paint variant! (Though a different set of colors compared to their last release would have been even nicer.) I don't have a proper sauropod in my collection yet, so it'd be nice to add it to my collection. Though I'll have to wait for more pictures to decide whether I really want this guy or not.

Joliezac

Very nice! I can't afford another sauropods right now though so this will be a pass for me. I will save space and money for species I'm really excited about.

I'd like that too. More variety in posture would be really nice. One of my favourite Haolonggood models is the Huayangosaurus and that's mostly because of its unique grazing pose.
As much as I love their hadrosaurs, almost all of them are in the same mid-stride trotting pose. I hope they mix that up for the Shantungosaurus and Iguanodon.

Quote from: bmathison1972 on May 25, 2025, 04:17:12 PMThanks. Too bad. With my current display set up, any sauropod larger than 32 (maybe 34) cm it too tall. I am not scale-conscious, as long as big animals are generally big and small animals are generally small. But I have shelf space constrictions.

Thank you!

But this is length through the centra. Given the rather upright posture, I think the horizontal length will be around 30 cm.

Compare with the Brachiosaurus. This has a length through centra of 70 cm, so little less than twice of Euhelopus.

The Brachiosaurus has a horizontal length of 59 cm, so this would translate into maybe a little more than 30 cm horizontal length for Euhelopus.

Looks magnificent. Been in need of another of this one for some time now.

I like the brown of the two offereings. Is this the only sauropod from HLG that's roaring/calling?

OK, I must not have understood the metrics you used. I originally asked for the height, meaning maximum vertical height. Oh well, I will have to wait until formal metrics are published or someone has it in hand.

Brown Saurolophus even has a bit blue shade on it's tail.

Mine:

This is my biggest critique of hlg. They have so many similar color palettes. After awhile I feel like a lot of figures will start looking the same on the shelf.

It will easily fit if you can fit 32 cm tall. It's a mid size sauropod , it'll be around 20 cm tall. (8 inch)

I agree and I think different colored tail is even more irritating. Most animals have similar basic colors but tails it takes naturality away when you have bunch of HLG together. They should also chill with stripped tail a bit. Also a bit less blue as main color for giant dinosaurs.

By the way new Euhelopus is also same colorway with Apatosaurus, brown one even have a white tail. :))

Euhelopus.

It looks really good, the grey version specially, can't wait for more photos.

Depending on the size Haolonggood uses it should between 18 and 20 centimeters.

suspsy

That's another thing right there. I wish Haolonggood would use green, red, and black more often.

Thanks everyone. if I can make it fit, I'll get it!

SidB

Definitely leaning towards the grey version.
