Does anyone who has the display model Citipati know what the mammal is on its base?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Don't have it on hand yet but maybe this video review will help with ID?

Primeval12

It looks like Catopsbaatar to me. I Googled the animals that inhabited the same formation and that one was the closest.

Halichoeres

Thank you both! As near as I can tell from the video, none of Bandai's materials seem to specify, so at this scale whatever seems to work temporally makes sense.

I guess these belong here too:

I relate to that pteranodon on a deep emotional level

Halichoeres

Haha, definitely relatable. I bet it's tired of hearing stuff like, "How can you be bored when you can literally fly?"

Anyone knows how big they are?

Halichoeres

Based on the photos of them with hands, I'd say 10 or 15 cm in a straight line.

About 13 cm in height for Citipati according to my Japanese Ebay seller, will confirm you upon its reception at the end of the month.

A few more investigations led to this :

Not so conclusive at this point, but I came through this video on Youtube where the reviewer first presents the little animal next to Citipati as a mouse (@ approx. 6') and then immediately says that there is no specific indication in the set, but it should be a sort of little mammal (honyūrui) :

Catopsbaatar is a possibility (Barun Goyot Fm according to Wikipedia), I'm also thinking about Kryptobaatar (Djadochta Fm) ?
Anyway, if there is any specification in the leaflet, I'll let you know upon its reception.

PS : by the way, what is the difference between "baatar" and "bataar" ?^^

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres did you ever figure out the mystery mammal's identity?

SpartanSquat

These are so cool!
I saw them in a japanese geek store in madrid and I got the green rex and grey triceratops from the first wave. I hope to see the rest here or in a gashapon machine in the bandai store

I actually just got that Bandai gashapon Citipati a couple weeks ago. It's great. It's hard to discern its scale because of the extreme pose it's in, but if anyone wants to see photos or comparisons to other figures let me know.

Yes, photos please! Any comparisons would be great. Do you have the PNSO Deinocheirus

No problem. I can definitely do the PNSO Deinocheirus. I own virtually every single PNSO, BOTM, Hammond Collection, and Haolonggood model and they're all on display so they're easy to grab and photograph if there are any others you want to see. Most of my other models are in storage, unfortunately.
I'll be taking and posting the images tomorrow. If anyone else wants to see another comparison, feel free to ask.

Here're some photos of the Citipati, alongside a measuring tape so you guys can better descern the size of these things. Hope these helped.

This is the first of this line that I've bought and I'm very impressed. It's a really, really nice model. I'm very tempted to get the Velociraptor too.

Quick question David: The base of the citipati is plastic or wood? I hope these will arrive to madrid bandai shop.

About the gashapons I mentioned: Here is with a flaming espinas that I got in the same shop
