Quote from: Gwangi on July 28, 2025, 10:05:26 PMI recently went to the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science. It's a small museum but the first time I went they carried Schleich figures and I got the Psittacosaurus. Now they don't even carry Schleich, just overpriced generic Cheaposaurs. Some of them were direct Papo knock-offs, only shrunk down. You know things are bad when you downgrade from Schleich.

Sounds exactly like the pitiful state the NHMUK's gift shop has been for the past decade or two.

That's far more tragic given the prestige of the NHMUK and its role in producing the Invicta toys. :'(

I'm starting to appreciate my recent visit to the Tyrrell Museum a couple weeks ago. Their shop appears to have improved --Safari, Schleich and Papo, no cheapasaurs or knockoffs (those were in the town shops) and even some exclusive plushes, like a Plesiadapis!

Their online shop is also very good. I've ordered from them 2 or 3 times.

Yeah, these mold machines aren't really on the cutting edge.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I feel like it might be retro on purpose. It looks like it will display well with the other Mold-a-Rama dinosaurs from the 60's. The Quetzalcoatlus has a modern look though, so who knows.
