Hmm really?  It was in the jungle and had them being hunted...but they revealed the hunters way too soon. Maybe more like Predators?   JP1 much more fits the comparison for me, we even Muldoon hunting in the jungle and he's ambushed..very much like in Predator.

I mean at its core, obviously it differs greatly in the small details. But in both movies you get a group of well trained bad asses going to an exotic land where they end up being hunted by strange creatures while they figure out how to escape. There is also a choppa that they have to get to.  >:D It probably is more similar to "Predators" but that being said, "Predators" was basically a remake of "Predator".

Most of the great ideas form the Jurassic Park book have been done in some fashion.  Yes the Lost World probably comes closest to my Predator example.

Ok, let me put it this way.  In the Jurassic Park book, in the beginning there were mysterious animals attacking sleeping children and babies.  As Crichton states in the book that genetic research continues at a fast pace and it is done in secret, in haste, and for profit.  So JW 2 starts with a rash of unknown attacks in an area.    In classic cinema fashion, you gather a team together to find out what is going on.  Maybe the first team disappears as well.  The unseen danger grows as they search.  People start disappearing, and they come upon a research facility that has been overrun by their creations. Military grade dinosaurs perhaps? Our band tries to find a way out, most die, and you have a big finale. Maybe you even have Owen leading a new team of Raptors (bring back Blue) to help track.

Ok, so maybe a lot of that has been done before.  In my onion, one of the best things about Lost World JP, was the trek, until the raptors showed up, and it went from cool to over the top really fast.  I shudder every time I watch Malcolm evade the Raptors, and the gymnastic swinging.  Classic over the top lameness.  I am just saying I would like a little adventure, but not go to over the top.  A real sense of foreboding that the people (or dinosaurs) you are routing for being in ever present (even if its unseen) danger.
