It's an interesting sculpt and a nice toy in my oponion but when you see some of the offerings from other producers there is a definite up armoured and less piscine look to the Schleich Dunkleosteus, possibly intended to appeal to younger collectors or the toy market.

Dunkleosteus is one of the best things Schleich has done in years.  I hoped this was a sign they were going to be more creative. When I first saw the figure I had a flash back of the black and white Burien painting.

I think the whole "First Giants" sub-line really gave me hope that they would branch out into more adventurous species choices, but so far the 2017 offerings are not reinforcing that optimism.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

What's interesting about gray and brown?

Brown!? It's not Red!? I see It Red!

Killekor
It's more of a reddish brown coloration.

Clearly does not help that "Conquering the Earth" is mostly remakes, doesn't it? And the two new species so far are a pretty bad Utahraptor and a retro Acrocanthosaurus.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no
