OK..first I just want to say I had no idea a place like this existed on the internet, so i'm glad I found it.  I have a small collection of some of the older Carnegie museum toys from the 90s so its nice to see that they are still around, for no reason I had thought that they weren't made any more.  Just looking around here I see companies I had NEVER heard of, but some of the stuff looks really nice.  And this leads to my question.

Where do you buy these from?  A few art and craft stores here have a small number of Papo dinosaurs, but stuff like Kinto, no clue.  I googled it and every search came back to this forum, so maybe ill get some help here.  Where do you buy Kinto models from?

VERY interested to know!  Thanks a bunch.

Welcome to the forum, were you'll discover many awesome brands that you may never heard of before.

A lot of My items come from online shops, because no one in my region sells any.  I collect   Papo, CollectA, Carnegie, Safari, Schleich and Geoworld.

A good place to get these items is here

www.dejankins.com

He sells all of the brands that I collect, and has the Kinto (now known as Favorite) models that you mention.

You also have www.dansdinosaurs.com Who sells a bunch of resin models made for more for adults.

I hope this helps

What country are you in? Assuming you're in the US, you can probably try Dan's Dinosaurs. I also buy from eBay regularly.

Outside of the USA (but still able to ship internationally) are Urzeitshop and Dinosaurtime.co.uk.

Specifically, for Kintosaurs, try http://stores.homestead.com/hstrial-Dliebman2/-strse-Figures-cln-Favorite-Co./Categories.bok and here http://www.dinosaurtime.co.uk/Shop/Dinosaur-Toy-Models/NEW-Favorite-Dinosaurs.html

If all else fails, try eBay.

Welcome to the forum friend. If I were you, You should take the advices of my partners  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

I'm in the same boat! I just discovered this site this year and I'd never heard of many of these companies that made dinosaurs. I knew Schleich and Safari and that was it but I'm through the looking glass now.

Anyway, in addition to the places mentioned above, I've had a lot of luck with JAUCE--it's a website that lets you bid on stuff in Yahoo's Japanese auctions. The fees and shipping they charge is expensive, but you can get the actual figures much cheaper so I've found it washes out. They do a great job handling the shipping and all that so I'd recommend it, though it can sometimes be a pain parsing what the hell you're getting in some of the lots for sale. Google translate will be your friend.

I can also tell you that some of the people here in the forum are great to trade or buy from, just check the feedback thread and ask around a bit, there are many great people right here to attain dinosaurs from depending of course on your particular needs.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

I'll just be self-promoting--I have a small hobby online store as well here

And I would also suggest Jauce for the Japanese things, but watch out for the fees!

Chimera, if you're in the US, many retail hobby chains carry various lines like Carnegie/Wild Safari, Papo, and Schleich. Hobby Lobby and Michaels in particular can be good sources, because they offer 40% off coupons on their websites. You can kick-start a new collection cheaply and quickly that way.

And, echoing others' comments, spend some time in the Forum's Classified section. Many willing traders and sellers there, and it's a great source for brands that you can't find in your area.

They are my main source of models. I'm from México.

But i also recommend Dejankins for discontinued figures. He also has cheap prices for modern models.

I'm from the Netherlands, so I order  most things from :

Speelboer, for all regular carnegie/collecta/papo/etc figures : http://www.speelboer.com/dinoshop/modellen

ad-mineraal, they still have alot of kinto desktop models for sale : http://www.ad-mineraal.nl/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=95_52

And all the rest from websites people mentioned before, ebay has been my best source lately...

Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus

Hmmm...No one has posted the obvious. Almost all of the major lines (Papo, Safari Ltd., Carnegie, etc.) are on amazon.com and amazon.co.uk.

I buy mine locally.  I have somehow stopped buying online.

Fellow hobbyists are another good source for models not currently in production.

Sauropodlet

I also buy some stuff from TGFtoys.com due to them offering a good deal on international shipping ($79.99 for a whole year of it). They almost always have a coupon or sale of some sort.

If you're into the small Kaiyodo Dinotales (and similar Kaiyodo series), you can get a lot of them for US$5 to US$10 apiece, including shipping, on ebay from Japan, China and other Asian countries. You just have to search and sometimes be patient, because prices vary wildly week to week and some sellers will offer free shipping. So you may see the same model on sale one week for $7 + $5 shipping, then $10 with free shipping, then $4 + $3 shipping, then suddenly that model is $15+shipping or nowhere to be found.

I've scored more than a dozen Kaiyodos for under $8 each (with shipping) in the last six months shopping ebay this way.
