I guess that's the biggest takeaway. It probably all evens out in the end. I don't like the idea of bots or spammers influencing the vote, it kind of defeats the purpose of it, but for most reviews it probably doesn't change things enough to lose sleep over it, or overhaul the entire thing.

I've changed the settings to allow visitors to vote again. Overall, I think it's more fun this way.

I should also reiterate that because visitor IP addresses are recorded, I can in principle correlate visitor votes to forum members. So, going forward, if I identify forum members obviously manipulating the votes by voting multiple times, I'll chalk that up as a violation of forum rule 2 (No Spam, maybe I'll update the rule wording to account for vote manipulation specifically) and take action accordingly.

Yeah, I see lots of 1 star reviews have been added in bulk, for this review and many others. I'm deleting them now, no problem.
