Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Well, that's just surreal. Apparently the title is Power Rangers Dino Force: Brave. This reminds me a little of the Zyu2 situation back in 1993.

Is Blue a Triceratops Ranger now?

CityRaptor

His helmet and chest insigna look more like a Stegosaurus with a horn. Some have suggested that the chest insignas show two animals now.

Regarding the "Megazord", I wonder if the new main body is supposed to be Allomerus. One arm is also seemingly a repainted Dricera.

How bizarre! It might be worth checking this show out just for curiosity's sake. Granted, I don't know very much about Kyoryuger, but I assume these are new characters anyway. Also, the Stegosaurus/Chainsaw hybrid is intriguing just for its bold absurdity ;D

Also, according to Saban's social media outlets, tickets for Power Rangers will be available starting March sixth!

CityRaptor

According to Rangerboard:
QuoteRed Dino is described as the "dragon child", the successor to the power of the dinosaurs who has the inherited the power of bravery and is a trustworthy leader.
Blue Dino is called a "handsome boy" who is characterized by his atheletic ability as well as his beautiful and clean fighting style.
Black Dino is described as being the strictest member of the team who also possesses a great and kind heart.
Green Dino is described as having a "cute little brother" image that people just can't seem to hate, even if he solves his problems with his family's money.
Pink Dino is kind and caring but can also be very selfish.
Gold Dino is a warrior who works with the others from a distance, he is very mysterious but does not seem to be an enemy.

So far only Red is even close to his Kyoryuger counterpart, so yes, they are not the same people. Apparently there will also be a japanese site for Kyoryuger Brave.

Sounds like they don't have much in common with their PR counterparts, either. Interesting to see Gold's suit; the PR suits are made from a slightly different material (for some reason) which does not carry the metallic look very well. Consequently, Gold Rangers tend to look sort of dull beige in original PR footage. It looks Power Rangers Dino Force: Brave is not going to have that particular issue. Maybe the suits are directly from Toei/Rainbow Zoukei?

Character names:
Red- Kwon Juyong
Blue - Kim Sechang
Black- Jeon HinJun
Green - Lee PuReun
Pink - Yun DoHee
Gold - Kwon JuHee

Given that Red and Gold share the same family name, I think it is fair to assume that they are brothers. Given that Gold starts out as evil, it could be a shout out to Zyuranger. ( For those unaware: Burai/DragonRanger was the brother of Geki/TyrannoRanger )

Apparently the new Bragigas is named GigaBragigas and the blue Triceratops is Forkkera.

Today's the day! Although I, of course, saw it last night. Without going into great detail or spoiling anything, I can honestly say I really enjoyed it. For me, the movie has one major flaw, but a lot of unexpected strengths that pull it together overall. Although, they did mix up the Mesozoic and the Cenozoic  ::)

Has anyone else had a chance to check it out yet? What're your first impressions?

Here I go, bringing this thread back from the dead again! Because there's big news to share, you know.

On the Super Sentai side, the constellation-themed Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger is going strong, and worth checking out if you haven't yet. The big news is the next show, Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. That's just what it sounds like - a show featuring two separate teams in opposition to one another as well as, presumably, a mutual opponent. This is a first in the decades-long history of the series!

Lupinranger (right) are a team of dashing thieves, and Patoranger (left) are a police squad charged with bringing them to justice!

Power Rangers Ninja Steel is entering its second network-mandated half-season, and it hasn't been altogether horrible to watch, which is nice. More interesting, however, is the very recent announcement of next year's team, Power Rangers Beast Morphers.

In an intriguing move, Saban has chosen to go back and adapt 2012's Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, which was previously skipped over in favor of the dinosaur team Kyoryuger.
QuoteSet in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called "Morph-X" with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphing Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun.

Furthermore, Saban will not be continuing its partnership with Bandai of America, the group which has been responsible for the series' toyline throughout its 25-year history. Instead, Hasbro will be taking the reins going forward, after losing the Jurassic World license to Mattel. It is interesting to speculate as to what this change means for the series as a whole, given how toy-driven it has traditionally been.

Well, seems like Super Sentai returns to a Dinosaur Theme a bit earlier than usual.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryuusouger
Instead of overgrown lizards with wings and build in flamethrowers this Sentai's theme is gonna be Dinosaurs and Knights. Thus the Mesozoic meets the Middle Ages.

Also
*The "Knights" in question may refer to the dinos and not the Rangers.
*Each Dinosaur has a name: Red's is "Tyramigo," Blue's is "TriKen," Pink's is "Ankyloze" Green is "TigerLance" and Black is "MyNeedle."

Seems like they took inspiration from different Dinosaur Sentai for this one:
Zyuranger: characters being knights, there being a Smilodon
Abaranger: the changer and Ryu Souls, as well as parts of the helmets.
Kyoryuger/Brave: weapons, partially suits and belt buckles holding devices and of course the choice of colors.
Power Rangers movie: the aesthetic of the mecha, especially Triceratops
Multiple: Red Tyrannosaurus,  Blue Triceratops ( Kyoryuger breaks the mold, but it is back in Brave ), only one female member ( core at least ), Tyrannosaurus forms majoritiy of combined Mecha (  Abaranger, Kyoryuger )

TokuNation calls "MyNeedle" a Stegosaurus, but I would say it's based on Miragaia and probably named MiNeedle instead.

Thanks for posting this, CityRaptor! I was going to do so myself, but I wasn't sure anyone would check this thread  ;D I think your hunch about the Black mecha is dead-on, I had the same thought. I was kind of hoping for a dragon theme to go with the knights, but I'm definitely not one to complain about a return to the dinosaur well. I suspect, since Lupinranger V Patoranger was so odd, Toei might be trying to do something safer with this one. Also, hey, another Blue Triceratops Ranger is always cool by me!

The helmets are great–less enthusiastic about the suits themselves, but they are not bad.

Of all the things to model after Power Rangers 2017, why the bug-like Triceratops mecha?
