Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Patrx

Beat me to the punch, CityRaptor! I think it looks way cool. All the designs that could have disappointed me have already done so thanks to the toy line, and the Rangers and Megazord look great in action.

Or horribly melted plastic. Alas, and he was such a charming character, too.

Well this Trailer made me excited, but did they need to use a Crappy(IMO) Pop song?    Why could they not have used an Original Score?

Either way, it did its job, and got me excited.   Lets hope that its not a bust

Just the first 5 seconds made my hyped. PR was my childhood, along with SpongeBob, dinosaurs, Super Mario, and Legos.

Silvanusaurus

Wow, it definitely looks like it has strong 'so bad it's good' potential ;D

Cool! I'm curious, which season of Power Rangers did you grow up on?

In other PR news, Ninja Steel premieres tomorrow! Which means I have to get caught up and finish Dino Charge before then  :))

Black does not look like a Mammoth, Mastodon or any mammal at all. It looks like some sort of arachnid/beetle mix
Yellow does not look like a Smilodon. It looks more like a non-mammalian Therapsid of som sort.
Pink is probably the closest to what it is supposed to be.
Blue really looks more like a beetle than a Triceratops.

I was in my early teens when Mighty Morph'n came out. So, the first one.  I wouldn't tell anyone I watched it though, hehe.

D'you know, people have tried to do with Kamen Rider what's been done with Super Sentai, twice that I know of. First, Kamen Rider Black RX became Saban's Masked Rider, but nobody liked it enough to continue past one season. Then, in 2008, Adness Entertainment made Kamen Rider Dragon Knight from Kamen Rider Ryuki. It ran for forty episodes, and was quite good in my view. But, unfortunately, few people watched it and it sort of collapsed before the story was properly concluded.
As an interesting aside, those shots from the original MMPR actually show modified versions of the toys from that era. They were filmed for the show as stand-ins during a sequence where the original Dinozords transformed into the then-new Thunderzords.

Gotcha! But nah, man, you've gotta wear your "childish" interests on your sleeve  8)

Soopairik

I'm having high hopes for this, this better be good.

I coveted the original Megazord and Dragonzord DX set, but never got them.  I picked up Red Dragon Thunderzord (MIB) 0ff of ebay years after the show ended.  Also, not a fan of the show, but had to get S.H. Figuarts Ryuki Survive & Dragranzer Set.  The world needs more Dragon Motorcycles.

Also, Kamen rider and Bettleborgs were bad guys in some episodes of the Rangers (can't recall which series).

Silvanusaurus

That is so much more appealing than the proper trailer, it's not even a joke how much more appeaing that is.

EmperorDinobot

I am sold! I love the glossy layered costumes!

A trailer for DekaRanger: Girls in Trouble

Looks like some serious trouble. Just to warn you, it featured On-Screen deaths of people.

Alas, I never had the originals either, but I did manage to pick up the 2010 version of the Megazord. The pose and decals are nice, but it's a much cheaper mold. Sadly, when the Legacy Line started, the first Legacy Megazord was just a recast of that same 2010 set - unlike the impressive Legacy Dragonzord.

Kamen Rider was in the PR continuity as Masked Rider; if memory serves, the Rider show "kicked off" with a PR crossover sometime around season three. The green Metal Hero costume, presumably left over from Beetleborgs, was used to fill out the villainous ranks during the Wild Force crossover special "Forever Red". As for Beetleborgs itself ... let's just say it holds up even less well than MMPR, in my experience  ;D

Good grief, that's miles better. Partially because that music fits better, and partially because I did not care for music used for the actual trailer!

Well! That certainly is trouble  :o I suppose the idea is that folks who are nostalgic for Dekaranger are older than the typical target demo for Super Sentai!

CityRaptor

Well, it has been 12 years since Dekaranger. So that seems about right.
