I'm just a tiny baby at repainting, but I've started to re-do some of my first attempts and I feel like I'm beginning to improve.

Safari Ltd. Nasutoceratops (Or possibly a knockoff? I got it at the gift shop at Fossil Rim, Glen Rose TX)

First attempt:

Second attempt, 4 months later:

I dressed him down a little bit!

avatar_Salmon @Salmon Your second attempt to paint the safari nasutoceratops has been totally satisfactory and an absolute improvement. It is a very nice repainted nasutoceratops, it is better than the original painting of that figure and I can tell you that it is not a compliment, I congratulate you and welcome to the forum dear friend.

Tyto_Theropod

Really digging your second attempt. I like the colour scheme and the way you've applied it to the model. One thing I would say is that the pink on the feet looks a little sloppy, but it could just be the lighting. Overall, excellent work for a beginner!

The second one is really good, I only wish there was a touch of lighter coloration on the face but that's a personal thing of mine. Can't wait to see more repaints from you.

Salmon

Thank you all so much for the constructive crit 0w0; I'm really proud of how this guy turned out!!

Yeah, the feet turned out a little odd. I was trying to add some black melanin spots with a toothpick and it smeared rly badly!

Halichoeres

I'd say you came a long way in four months!

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Very impressive. The first attempt isn't bad, but your second one is fantastic, great job!
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

I got another of the same species (CollectA this time) and decided to make a little themed base for it after repainting.

I found a hobby shop in town that sells those tiny pots of specialty warhammer 40k paints, and used a little agrellan earth to create the crackle effect under the figure. The log and sapling are natural wood collected from my yard.

Halichoeres

The base has a nice charred effect, as though a wildfire just tore through.

ye, I painted the figure first and thought it would benefit from a thematic base.

Killekor

Wow! That CollectA repaint is impressive! Congrats!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Thank you so much! I really wanted to sell the fire and ash theme of the figure. I've named it "Firestarter."

I did this fella over Christmas. Not perfect and I feel like I've improved since then, but he's still pretty cute. (Jurassic World "Roarivores" Allosaurus)

Halichoeres

It's a very striking color scheme! I like it.

My first post in a while, here's the new CollectA Carnotaurus! I decided to go with a more tropical look for this guy, given the coastal savanna habitat. Inspired by a number of different sea birds and by secretary birds.

Halichoeres

Hmmm I wonder which bird inspired the blue legs...

I think that they were inspired by the Blue Footed Booby.
Anyways, I think that you'rs is a really nice repaint, Salmon. Congratulations!

Yes, I thought as much; I was being facetious :)
